ADSL dead - anyone else?

Richmond KZN, Mweb, Afrihost, Telkom Internet & Internet Solutions will not authenticate at all... Line syned....

Can't call any Telkom Numbers either, i get 3 beeps and then the line goes dead....:confused:
 
My line in Melkbos went down for about 10 min, the one in tableview not back yet.
 
anyone on Afrihost in Durban, back up as yet?

oh thank the good buddha, i have internet again. i wonder what the heck happened. it seems like the whole country went down with telkom.
 
Yeah friends up here had ADSL issues too. No problems on my 8ta sim though. Prob cable theft or a hack lol.
 
Back up here too, had to change back to Google DNS though

I usually ignore this but I think.its time to put someone in their place

I worked for Telkom in the past... while I was there, I observed that Fridays are usually the day a braai gets held at the exchange.
I had also observed many times things go down and nobody knows about it/does anything because everyone is standing around the fire turning the boerie and having a coke and chatting.

Many times I was.1/2 way home at 5:30pm and was called back to attend to the faults because many times they would slink away after having eaten and had this dirty habit of not updating the call out roster
And with Murphy's law.. Friday afternoons were notorious for major faults... the sort that renders an entire exchange offline
 
Dead again in melkbosstrand. Router just says 'unable to complete pppoe discovery'.

No accounts work. Anyone else?
