Adsl Errors with CRC and SRN

Hi

I have upgraded to a 4mb line but only get 2mb and i have used wage , afrihost , mweb no isp makes a difference

My snr might be low and there ARE ALOT OF CRC ERRORS....i dont know if any 1 has any insight please assist

My SNR can drop as low as 11dB at certain times of the evening and I still have a pretty stable connection.

What modem do you have, certain modems handle bad lines better than others? I have found Netgear to be pretty unstable on bad lines compared to D-Link and Linksys.

i have a billion 400(ithink i know its a billion) the basic router u get from telkom . ****ty router but eish its bad i get no speed whatsoever

You say you only get 2mb, but yet your synch is still 4mb ?
Ask them to drop that to 2048 and you will see a VAST improvement.

Try a new router had same problem on my billion 400g and once I upgraded to the TP-Link one I never had problems again
