ADSL problems dog Telkom

ADSL PROBLEMS 28 AUG 2008

I have read the story of people experiencing ADSL problems earlier this week, but it is now the 28th Aug and I have been experiencing serious problems for 2 days now :mad: I first thought we had reached our amazing 2 gb cap :mad: so topped it up with another 1gb (R64) yesterday, but the problem still persists this morning. I can get to telkom internet site to top up (of course :mad: ) and I can get to hellkom.co.za and this site. Does anyone know what the problems is??

:mad:Telkom does not really communicate well, I am from PE and I have the same problems.

These forums load properly and telkom's site, nothing else.
If i ping cache.saix.net it sometimes relies but usually not, its intermittent.

Does anyone have a list of proxy or cache servers I can try?
 
Had no access yesterday from around 14:00 yesterday....Apparantly a DNS propagation problem down here in Cape Town area.


DNS work around given by a Hellkom techie this morning, working for now....
