ADSL problems frustrate users

Also got the “general network problem “ :confused: with a 1meg diginet line that is down between Pretoria and Cape Town

Maybe it’s time they upgrade it to a “MAJOR network problem” and fix it:(

Ok, how about we just forget to pay telkom 10% of their adsl line rental charge quoting that we are having minor techinical difficulties.
 
I am in durban and have been having issues with speed since last night.
I play local ut2004 and my ping was through the roof last night.
Speed test rekon I have got around 200kpbs from a 384 line. I know it does not sound that bad but it is, esp since I am paying for 384.
It is so frustrating, so i phoned telkom just now and a lady said it might get better, just have to wait and see.:mad: :mad:
Ah, and it is raining and this might be affecting it....

It's all the new Xbox 360 owners downloading from and playing on Live-Telscum are frantically trying to figure out how to slow them down ;)

They'd turn around, disconnect us, and demand a reconnection fee. :(

Then they'd claim it was a new instillation and pad the books just a little bit more.

They have not figured it out as yet, so in the mean time they went with Plan B - they decided to pull out the network cable...

One Day?

At least you people only have slow/no ADSL for one day.

I requested an Upgrade on the 4th of September from 512 to 1024. Eversince then I had no ADSL. Pity we have no other decent option for gamers.

Well I did catch up on all the movies I wanted to watch and never got to.

Also on Verizon ADSL since being on MWEB. Telkom has us on the 4meg connection with the trial. The speed ain't there with Verizon I have to say. I got faster speeds with MWEB which is a resold SAIX account?

How is your speed via Verizon ADSL? This is assuming you were talking about ADSL?
 
the same for me on both IS and telfsck. Bloody mickey mouse outfit, that's what we have for a telecoms operator

I doubt it would be possible and would probably take 5 years to see results like every other thing that touchs the Telecomunications industry in this country. But it would be Oh so sweet to finally have Telkom hit where it hurts by the little guys :D and get some real results out of them. Not like the ICASA who they can just ignore or pay off or both.
 
4:50pm and it still crawling down here in the Western Cape.
Average pings to google: 1000-1200ms
