"Adventurous" things to do on first date

Howzit guys

OKay, I need some advice please... It's been a while and well, yes, I'm quite out of the "game" and my creativity levels are also quite low.

There's this girl I've been seeing now for a while and we are going "officially" on a date tonight.

Now I'm looking for something interesting and adventurous to do. Not the old cliché movie and dinner thing.
So far I thought of sunset picnic at the river... Keep in mind I'm not located in JHB or DBN or CPT or any big capital for that matter :p So I don't have that big variety of things to choose from.

Anyhowz, any advice would be appreciated!

I would NOT take any chick on a picnic on the first date!

how about a nice dinner? fancy place to impress, but don't set the bar TOO high because if she thinks you are super rich then she's gonna expect more of those when you are actually dating
 
Something completely different would be to take her to a theme park or something... Like Gold Reef City. Make it a whole day thing. Rediscover your inner child and innocense. She'll love it.

Like I said, it's actually not the typical first date thing, since we know each other for quite a while now, but things only started to move towards a point now...
And since it's nice warm and sunny outside I thought about the picnic thing.

well if you know her quite a while - picnic aint such a bad idea....(I was thinking "first date" for some reason)

Thanks for clearing that up :p

It's kind of a weird situation. It's a first official date, but since we know each other well, I though of it as not the usual "stiff" / "uncomfortable" date. So that's why it's a "first" (although not so "first") date.
But thanks for the suggestions thus far guys. ;)

*As for what I'm trying to achieve with this -> well the prospect of a solid relationship is there. So that sums it up I think.

Find out if there are any telescopes near where you live. Take a picnic basket and 1 nice bottle of wine and go look at some stars ;)
 
Take her to the movies
Buy popcorn
Insert hole in the bottom of the popcorn box............you figure out the rest
