Hi all,

I know this question comes up all the time so apologies for having to ask it once again :)

I have a 4mb line and use it mainly for WoW, a bit of downloading, and a fair amount of YouTube. Currently I have accounts with AxxessLite, WebAfrica and OpenWeb.

With Axxess, I get decent pings in WoW (500ms), but my torrent downloads seldom ever run at full speed, and YouTube is often a mess. I find their network to be fairly unreliable though, as with most IS-based accounts.

WebAfrica are the best in terms of quality, but their prices leave much to be desired.

OpenWeb gives me the worst ping in WoW, but it better than Axxess for torrents and YouTube.

So I guess what I'm trying to figure out is whether there is a service provider who can provide decently priced bandwidth suitable for gaming, a bit of torrent downloading and streaming. I have never done more than 50gb in a month, so I think uncapped would be overkill. Is there a better ISP for my needs apart from the 3 above?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

your in cpt, mweb, will give you sub 300ms as it route via sat-3 not seacom.

and its cheapish uncapped.

MWEB was one of the ISP's I was having a good look at. Their uncapped 4mb comes in at R539pm (for shaped), but considering that I'd pay R449 for 10gb from WA I will definitely consider the MWEB option. Are these accounts ok for WoW though? The only reason I'm hesitant to go uncapped is because I've heard the performance for gaming isn't the greatest.. If these account perform decently in WoW I will definitely buy one and test it out.

Thanks for the help btw!!

I reckon I'm gonna give the uncapped offering a go - heck if you don't try it, you'll never know right? Thanks for the advice heretic!
