Agree. I would rather keep paying the same and get similar or better quality.

I am currently paying the same price for 2meg uncapped at afrihost as I would for 4meg uncapped at Axxess and the quality is no where near as good.

Just changed my fathers office from Axxess to Afrihost, the two services are worlds apart in terms of quality

As long as the service levels don't deteriorate I'm happy!

Guys please rather improve the service with some of the savings and maybe look at just reducing the top end products cost. The cost of the account isn't a major factor in the overall cost of the bottom end accounts, it is the Telkom line.

Seems I'll keep running on my WebAfrica account for now and reduce my AfriHost account to the bare minimum...
Been a very happy AH customer (still am), but the WA prices were too good not to give it a shot.

I depleted my cap on the 3rd due to work stuff, and my options were to either get additional AH bandwidth, or try out WA. Went the WA route and I must say, quite happy with their service so far. Can't really see worse throughput compared to AH (both seem to max out line speed 99% of the time), so in my case at least, price will be the deciding factor.
Also (on the WA account), I've found that running a cron job to download any "high definition Linux distros" I might desire between 00:00 and 06:00 works out great. Logging indicates that I get line speed for these downloads.

So all other things being more or less equal, 50GB vs 60GB+60GB, it's clear who's going to be the winner here...

However, I'm more interested in quality streaming than downloads lately. I will be testing a Web Africa account vs my AH uncapped account to see how streaming goes.
This past weekend, YT streaming was at best, 244p on my AH 2mb account

i'll be happier if Telkom would just come replace those f'ng stolen tel cables!

I have 10Mbps Afrihost account, that i can't do s*t with for 3 weeks now, since the cables were stolen.
a bit more saving will be nice though... but i would also prefer better quality over lower price
