AfriDudes, can someone please look at the below. I ran your "test my line" and got the below results for the DSLAM

The SNR isn't looking very good.. Attenuation has always been like this though and has been working fine. I see that my line is still syncing at 7.5mb.

I think you mis-understand the role of our Critical Care team, we have a lot of teams dedicated to the running of our network and how things run. So it's all hands on deck to have things improved.

For now, some clients aren't seeing great speeds and this is something that we need to identify, look into a good fix and trend the data.
The network hasn't been performing poorly for over a year, thats a huge exaggeration.

I disagree, the network issues experienced leading up to December last year - the network has been erratic since then, then the support levels decreased - although there were new members brought on board to cope with the influx of support calls.

I know this from personal experience spending hours on the phone, having Telkom come out to my premises and go out to the exchange etc.

How much of money I have spent calling in, time spent running all the tests, down time to my business (as I run an online business)?

Tell me how things have improved if we are still experiencing issues almost a year later? I agree its not over a year but its getting there!

Phoned Telkom, and they said they don't see any problems of congestion on my exchange.
They said it could be a problem with the port, DSLAM, or something and I need to report it to Afrihost.

Do you have the ref#?
Not 100% sure on how the Guest account works, but it would be different in passing through the DP, DSLAM and BRAS. Usually congestion happens between the DSLAM or exchange and BRAS.

Almost certainly congestion though.

Sorry I thought I put it in the previous post that it was the Webafrica account.
Still wondering why the hardware is deteriorating at such a rapid pace. It wasn't exactly great for a while now but today it suddenly went totally down the drain. Usually the latency jumped to between 130ms and just below 400ms but all of a sudden today 900-1000ms:wtf:

Normally my download goes around 210-212KB/s constantly, yet now my download stays stuck between 196 and 198 KB/s.

That's not much, but I still want all the speed I'm paying for.

Also, have you found anything on the streaming issues I've sent numerous PM's and messages here on?

If you're measuring this from a torrent, it's possible that you change your pairing to seeders/leechers when you switch accounts. My own tests with different ISP show that a single torrent is difficult to use as comparison.

I'm testing two well seeded torrents and they're going at around 450-500kbps, though when I saturate my line with multiple files, I can hit just over 1MBps on this line, and download will vary from file to file.

As I was typing it just jumped up to 700kbps.
