Guys we cant keep doing this....
Why are you always having so many issues.... There is ALWAYS something wrong.

And please dont come back and say that things are better after tweaking and bla bla bla..... we pay for these services so quite frankly we don't care.

This looks like it's completely unrelated to and IPC problems.

Did you grab any test results that I can look into, or get in touch with our Support team to see if we can have the issues replicated last night/ this morning?

Literally every mtr, tracert, pingplot and pathping looked just fine. No idea what was happening. I reckon something was updating in the background on someone's PC, and, due to that, it was taking 100% of the network, because of the lack of prioritization.

Please reboot your router to see if this helps.

I might as well put my router on a schedule to reboot every 10 minutes at this rate....

If you see this happen again please run some tests :)

Hi AfriGuy

For the last day or so now I have only been able to access certain sites and not others. What is going on? I restart my router and then everything works fine for about 40min or so then suddenly I am back to only being able to access certain sites and have to restart my router again. Its really annoying. Afrihosts site is one of the sites that I cannot access so is mybroadband. ????????

Sounds like there's something weird happening with your DNS here, are you using our servers?

Hi yes I am. I even tried switching to google's public dns and the same happened. I'm at work at the moment and so I cant do any troubleshooting now however I did call your support last night and you guys reset my ports etc but the same is still happening.

Very odd. When you're home could you run some tests and paste them up here?

Yeah the DNS issues have definitely been sorted out, so can't be that.
If you could, paste up the traceroutes here - see if you can browse to the sites IP. Also, if you can't browse a site can you browse via it's IP?

As an example, if Google doesn't open can you browse http://74.125.230.247/?

Also, are you behind a VPN/ proxy?

Nope no proxy or vpn. I tried accessing sites via IP and it didnt work. Yeah I'll do some when I get home and send them to you. I dont feel like its a dns issue though. I tried to access hotmail.com which is one of the sites that dont work. I ran a traceroute and traced it back to its IP. I then tried to access the site using the IP and it doesnt work. No settings on my router have been changed and everything was working perfectly until about two days ago. Then I saw you guys and telkom were having issue's so thought it was related to that.

If you can't browse the IP then something else is up.
Does using WiFi or a wired connection make any difference?

dude i have been moaning for months now.... i even have a ticket with ""critical care"" and they only seem to respond every two weeks.

We also had DNS issues yesterday, by rebooting the router this was resolved.

Feels like the same issues as last time. "The software update to your management system"

The two accounts have exactly the same bandwidth profiles.
Please open a ticket detailing what's going wrong along with some comparison results that I can look at.
