Yeah, you can talk to the CEO of Sony, Microsoft, whoever on it. Doesn't mean they will respond to you but you can try.
Was unaware. Thanks for enlightening me. But as you said, that could be just account setup to give the appearance of transparency and caring and all that.

But I concede.

So is anybody sending these comments to the CEO of afrihost via twitter?

Drop me a PM, I'm sure we can have something worked out :)

Wow really? That's just cheap and low. You can make a plan for a refund for one individual, but not for the masses?

Give ALL your customers the refunds that they deserve! This is not the first time that this **** has happened, and it won't be the last either as you're obviously not learning from your mistakes.

I think he meant making a plan with getting the contact details of the CEO/top management.

I think you may be reading into my response a bit too much ;)

Dude, some of us come here to find info and get some insight on what's going on on a problem. Please stop being a whiney little ****. All you're doing is filling up the thread with pages of bull****. Seriously dude, if you're not happy with their service, then go somewhere you're happy - it's a free country (well, kinda). Sorry, I'm probably doing the same as savage is, but think it had to be said.

I think it's something that isn't as impossible as you think :)

Don't do this. You are now creating expectations which is just going to piss off clients even more when those expectations are not met.

Rather stick to "not a chance in hell" response.

To be fair Afriguy, NarrowBand has been through all the proper channels in regards to contacting management and critical care staff and he has not made contact with any of them, you can't fault him for saying that.....

If you refund, keep mine, buy strong coffee with the money and force-feed it to the Telkom dudes so they can sort the IPC faster.

All of our teams are always open to communication, it's part of how the company works :) Everyone gets stuck in.

I think you should give savage a break here - read the whole thread yourself and you'll see the level of frustration experienced by PAYING and LOYAL customers for a service which is currently and has been SUB-PAR for an extended period of time. AH has also frustrated the matter further by inconsistent and contradictory statements from different channels about what the actual problem is and timeframes for when it will be resolved.

See that's the issue. You guys stay on even though they had issues for quite a few months. So no reason for them to not let it get like this the first place.

Would have that, after the capacity issues last year both AH and the "loyal customers" would have learned their lesson.

Obviously not.

Unfortunately just one of my customers has an account for R7000,00+ per month - cannot just chop and change since there'll be no guarantee of refund. Will have to wait until the 25th and decide then. I have however recommended to spread the risk across multiple ISPs instead moving forward which is under consideration so as to avoid this at least with the 1TB or so of capped data.

Lets be honest, when there are no IPC or whatever issues, the business accounts are the sh*t.

PS: dont edit out the "the", you are looking for trouble.

This has been ongoing for a few weeks, we're actively working on a permanent fix.
As AfriMan confirmed earlier in the thread, upgrades are on the way in a few weeks. I'm afraid I can't action/ authorise compensation as this is something that needs to come from Management.

And this is the real issue, the Management of Afrihost don't make any official statement, or commitments to customers, don't offer any compensation for poor service. This is really ruining your companies reputation, really an odd way to conduct a business.
