What are you guys doing? Last two days I have been getting packet loss in quake live games on afrihost network?:mad:

Red Lines = packet loss. Yellow Peaks = Sudden lag increases.

Your network is worse now than before. Oh yea, that 40 = latency to server. So now you have low latency with packet loss...

Whatever it is that they are doing, it clearly isn't enough....
 
Getting 40 KB/s on p2p download.
Switch to WA and easily get 250 KB/s - still not perfect but much better than AH.
So gatvol.



Now switch back to AH and can only get 20 KB/s.

The irony is that when I had the high latency I didn't have a single dropped packet... now its basically unusable 24/7.

And yes it is only Afrihost; on web africa there is none of this junk for local.

Been having really bad performance on our Business Uncapped for the past few weeks, but tonight, things are just coming to a halt. There's so much packet loss going on, I can't even log into Client Zone without spamming F5 until the thing loads completely. Gmail takes forever to load, and accessing/editing docs in Google Drive is sluggish like never before.

How on earth can this be acceptable, even during "peak" time?

Afri guys you appear to be managing my MC traffic too. Speedtest gives good results yet I'm lagging like you can't believe, change to IS no problems.

definitely weird. If there was latency on our side, we'd see that on the 3rd hop, but seems like intermittent timeouts. Do you get the same on any ISP account?

We should be seeing better latency but throughput still seems to be poor when demand is high. We'll keep working n this, but I would definitely recommend signing up to test the new network as soon as it's ready. We'll really be grateful for your feedback.

Throughput definitely seems to be a challenge at the moment. With contention it's difficult to say who will get good speeds and who won't, mostly seems to depend on which session is older and how much contention there is.

Have you also signed up to test the new networks?

Dropping packets should not happen if we're not seeing latency - as far as I know.
