Can't see any issues here, not sure why you aren't able to run a speedtest.
Perhaps drop our team a mail to see if anything can be spotted there, I'll gladly follow up/ escalate from there.

Not sure why you said you can't see any issues, did you not look at the link provided?
60+ KB/s should be cause for concern on 10Mbps Business Account....
No offense to you or any of the other AH reps on this forum but I have lost faith in your support team, they have not been able to sort out any my issues in the past...
Managed to get a speedtest result( which took some time ) :

Last Result:
Download Speed: 1470 kbps (183.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 852 kbps (106.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 50 ms

Are your neighbours also still seeing issues on their lines?

He says his is a bit better today. But the family owns a shop about 50m away and their internet had been crap all day. Not with Afrihost though.

1.5Mbps or there abouts is shocking for a 10Mbps service...
Drop me a PM with your details and I'll see if I can spot something.

Sounds like there may be some infrastructure issues in the area, our team are running some tests on the account.
They'll get back to you soon.

Now if it is proven to be infrastructure, what will the plan of action be?

If it is, we can have a fault logged for you.
Our team will take care of all of this though :)

From my neighbour regarding his Afrihost 2mbps business line:

" But admittedly we have been spiking, like one moment we all good then the next nothing. I cant even open apps with full wifi signal".

Something screwy going on......

Lest give our team some time to have a look at things and get in touch with you, I'm sure something can be figured out :)

So something was wrong on your end....

I really hope so. Been trying to get this sorted out since the 25th of October. But for now, i will go look in the cupboards in the garage for some spare patience. With any luck, i will find some.....

Keep me posted, sorry that things are so up and down :(
Not really sure what's causing this.

Afrihost is really starting to p*ss me off extremely. Real-time traffic throughput is just not up to scratch.
Pretty sure they are prioritising speed tests, because I always get full speed. The moment I try and do something real, like watch a YouTube video it starts buffering every couple of seconds. I look at the traffic throughput on my firewall while this happens and it barely hits 1Mbps. Surely not using my 8MB line to its capacity.

We don't shape or prioritise on Business, so it wouldn't be a rule or policy. Even on Uncapped, Youtube is unshaped, so it wouldn't make sense to do so on Business, even if that were the case.

Have you tried switching off your firewall to test or checking if there are any conflicting settings? Since our upgrade, we've been seeing much better performance across the board on DSL products.

Ok so see below tracert to Youtube. Having issues with streaming again, and everything else is awesome!

Not having a good experience on Youtube at the moment.

The moment I switch over to a Telkom ADSL account everything is perfect. So not much chance of it being firewall related.
It's pretty erratic. Yesterday there was a period where everything was fine for YouTube, but then again tonight it all falls apart.
