Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback - 2

Surely Business accounts should see the improvement first, or is the priority capped accounts?

Remember that business users and capped users use the same data pool.

Correct!

Our Capped and Business Uncapped users both fall under the Unshaped Resource Pool. We are slowly making the needed changes, not everyone will see immediate improvements, but soon all of our users will see their speeds return to normal.

I sent you a pm, can you please confirm for me.

Thank you

Can you give us a number? Soon has been used quite a lot in this thread.

So should I ditch Telkom for afrihost business uncapped or mweb premium uncapped?? Seems like the issues here are as bad as Telkom

There were IPC capacity issues across our Network in early October, we did manage to put significant upgrades in place to alleviate the capacity issues.

Over the weekend we pushed through upgrades to our Network Management Software which affected the amount of bandwidth each user was getting, but we are working on correcting this, and should have performance back to normal shortly.

Guys,

Just another quick update, we are starting to see some significant improvements across our network. Can I ask that you guys run a few speed tests on your accounts and post them here along with which region you are in. This will help us a lot in narrowing down any remaining problematic regions.

EDIT: Can you please include the speed at which your line is syncing.

I have seen a slight improvement on our 10 MB adsl line.
Not a huge difference but it seems like its getting there.

Thank you for finally giving me the service I pay for.
Let's hope this carries on like this and does not fall flat on it's face again.

Youtube buffers 720p properly, speedtests are fine, no lag for now. Whatever you're doing is working, but it's probably not perfect yet. I'll have to test with Netflix later tonight to see.

An improvement with local - I'm in the north - speeds are constant and not fluctuating

Local

New York - slow, but better than it was - speeds still fluctuating, only peaked at 2.7 right at the end, was roughly 1.5 - 2.3 during the test

Just an FYI - kink.fm is a radio station from Portland, OR :p

EDIT

Whilst re-testing the international speed it picked up, but still very jittery - again on my WA capped account its stable regardless of international or local
