Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback - 2

There are quite a few other services included that will ensure Afrihost Plus is relevant to all of our users. :)

I can't wait for you guys to try to out!

Again, depends on how much of my monthly spend needs to go to it. I can agree with paying yearly for Office 365 because its silly value for money now, but AH+ needs to offer me more than just better savings if I'm a capped user and want to spend more money than I currently do every month (which I don't, obviously).

Also, ladies and gents:

With Afrihost Plus+ you will keep enjoying double your data - for a Mobile Data or DSL Package of your choice - even after we stop our Double Data promotions on the 31st of December 2014. Afrihost Plus+ locks in your double data and you can rest easy knowing your promotion will never end.

With the Double Data promo falling away, the only way you'll get similar value from a capped account is by either signing up now and getting this, or going to WA capped. I don't like the hardball play, but then again I'm not a capped user, so the change won't affect me.

Not the answer I was looking for but at least it's something little more definitive. Guess will have to suffer with dial up speeds till then. Won't be able to do much work unfortunately.

If things don't improve, I do have till 25th to cancel my account, right?

Another question. Why do I get normal speed with 1 gig capped account and not with business account?

One option you have is to request a cancellation now, you are able to remove the cancellation at any point up until November 30th at 00h00.

That discrepancy is a good example of the issue, in theory your Business Uncapped and 1-GB Capped account should be receiving exactly the same priority and bandwidth speeds.

This is what our Team is working to figure out what the issue is, and to correct it.

Just got this .
They are busy playing games not fixing their broken system

I think this is were most of the issues started a few months back, giving double data etc, and we were struggling along, they then say they have capacity issues. It looks like a very dysfunctional setup, you have a network that is obviously under strain, and you give away free data. This trend seems to be continuing.

All this looks good, on the outside, but in reality its a mess. People on Facebook cant even redeem their free data website does not open etc.

If it were feasible to simply move to a different vendor and have them take everything over, we would have already done so. The way in which our Network Management Software is implemented is virtually unique to South Africa, and only a handful of other companies are running it as we are in the world. There will be consequences once the issue has been resolved, of that I can assure you, but until the issue is fixed, we need to work with our vendors to resolve this.

and yet other ISPs don't have neatly as many issues as you guys have. its interesting how your excuses seem to change all the time, it was the IOS update, then IPC capacity issues, then a silo (sorry that's Eskom), then management software, what's next xmas break we are all on leave, wait until 2015 for pure joy?

Agree . Afrihost is absolutly not good for business . Home use it depends .

The amount of data that was given away in the various Data Giveways is such a small percentage of even the hourly data consumed across our network that it definitely would not have resulted in any additional strain or stress on the network.

That might be the case, but if you have capacity issues, and current users are affected, then every bit will make the situation worse, but suppose you will deny this, but your network is a mess, and I am 100% sure there will be more excuses about why its in the state it is and why its taking so long to fix.

I only see marketing talking from afrihost not on person answer my packet-loss International not the high local ping

One word: MTN.

Remember back in the day when they were on IS and everybody was happy? Heh, I remember the day they switched to MTN and everything went down the toilet. Its now what, two years later? I entered this thread earlier on today to see about signing up again I still see the same old issues.

Please AH, fix your current problems before introducing Afrihost Plus+

Guess what? Your network is once again fubar - actually I should start posting when it's performing as it should and save me some time... because that is hardly ever! 10MB Business. Broadacres.

I can't argue with the IPC issues that we had in October, nor the Network Management issues we have had since last weekend, but we have definitely not ignored all the results that have been sent in. These have helped us immensely in narrowing down and locating the exact cause of the issue.

Our Support Team has been nailed over the past few days, and we are working hard with them to ensure that each person receives the assistance that they need.

:(

It is still the Network Management Software, for the most part we are seeing quite a few users get better throughput, but every now and again the issue rears its head again, as you can attest.

You will hopefully start seeing some improvement again in the next hour or two.

Sorry to say but support is not up to scratch. Not contacting a client with any feedback for over a week is pathetic

And a month here, with no concrete answers at all yet.

Sending tests till we're blue in the face with no result is not a customer's idea of fun.

Afripeople, this is not on.
