Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback - 2

Sorry to say but support is not up to scratch. Not contacting a client with any feedback for over a week is pathetic

:(

I will definitely follow with them if you want to PM me your account details, a week does seem a bit extreme.

And a month here, with no concrete answers at all yet.

Sending tests till we're blue in the face with no result is not a customer's idea of fun.

Afripeople, this is not on.

Where we have had feedback to share, we have done so, I will definitely see if we can kick this up a notch.

Everything has been fine since the last I posted until now, what the hell just happened?

Posting this took about 5 minutes....

As our Team continues to make changes and load updated software, there may be moments where the speeds drop off for a period of time, you should definitely see your speeds start to improve again.

Sent, I also sent test results via PM to other AH reps, the last response was I don't know, sorry. When asking if these issues will ever get resolved. Not the response a client would expect.

Okay, it does look like your account is affected to a greater degree than many of the other accounts I have had a look at. I will try and see if I can get our Team to get your performance cranked up a bit.

Our Support Team has been nailed over the past few days, and we are working hard with them to ensure that each person receives the assistance that they need.

I have to admit, Oscar at Critical Care - well he certainly did pull out all the stops in my case, and deserves recognition. He probably took me half way to understanding where the problem is, and I thank him for that.

The guy who took over, simply sent me cut and paste responses from the website - he deserves to be nailed. If any of my staff did such a poor job with my customers, I can assure you, they would beg to resign!

I am glad to see though that you are confident of a permanent solution for the up and down speed and latency, and can wait a week or two to get the benefit, and promise to lay off till then ... but please, find the solution as promised.

Is it possible to do that with mine too because as you can see from tests I did on previous page. Mine is pretty much unworkable.

With cases like these is it not easier in the short term to re-create the account to alleviate the issues the client is having, then proceeding to try identify the root cause, or does this just make the task at hand more difficult

Thanks, surely this should have been done when I first sent my results, why do I have to beg and carry on on these forums before something is done? I will only be able to test latter this evening, lets hope there is an improvement. Can you tell me what on the tests shows my issues, so I can see for myself when doing tests?

The problem is not so much with the account itself, but rather how our network treats the account and allocates throughput to it.

I will see what I can do!

I cannot promise that there will be actual improvements immediately, but I will try to get you sorted.

So surely deleting it and creating a new one would resolve it? Or is this issue pretty indiscriminate between new and existing ones?

:(

It is still the Network Management Software, for the most part we are seeing quite a few users get better throughput, but every now and again the issue rears its head again, as you can attest.

You will hopefully start seeing some improvement again in the next hour or two.

Still no improvement..... please guys i cant do this everyday.....

I'm currently chowing through my mobile data to get some work done, drivers aren't small any more either

I don't bother with the support staff or critical care, neither departments have actually solved anything for me....I did all the grunt work, managed to find out what was wrong on my end and solved the problem myself, I'm no network engineer/administrator....When things go wrong that are out of my control then I just post in this thread and if that yields no results then I kick and scream until it's dealt with....Can't go on much longer like this, support staff as well as critical care really need to wake up at AH...I will get a call from critical care like 3 or 4 days later when everything is working fine but once the s*** hits the fan then critical care won't phone, this has been my experience with them, not a pleasant one at all....
