I think they have flipped the switch to the East.

Internet flowing like a charm here - kids playing Far Cry 4 online, wife chatting online and I am steaming 720p no buffering

Afripeople - dont touch anything .... Its working :D:D:D:D:D

At least someone is getting lucky.

:(

Afrihost has grown over the past few years, but for the most part we are trying hard to keep the Afrihost spirit alive and kicking, but with growing as quickly as we have, there does come a degree of growing pains. We are pushing hard to expand our Support Team and get them at the Afrihost level!

At the rate Afrihost are going you guys will start shrinking as fast as you grew.... Sad but true.

For most of us I guess, since other ISP test accounts etc. function at 100%.

Its a bit like being on a date with a prozzie ..you keep wondering what things will be like in the morning ... Maybe its just my turn to get the bandwidth tonight ??

This is an absolute joke now

http://2share.co.za/Files/13ffc5f2-8a2b-413d-b0b6-ea9f14440ffdCapture.JPG

Have to wait 2 hours (on 10mbps Business btw) for drivers so I can play Far Cry 4. My friend on 4mbps with Vox downloaded these in less then 10 minutes. He is also on the same exchange as me, so NO exchange congestion to speak of. So SICK of this. R900 a month for dialup speeds.

+1 to that Even IDM is battling to max out my speed, hitting a dismal 120KBps.

@AfriMan what happened - Internet was good and now its gone to cr@p again?

Indeed, was working fine for roughly the past week, now it's back to square 1 after today's "update"

1 step forward 2 steps back

No, do yourself a favour and read through this thread, start at least 15 pages back....

When we moved from mweb to afrihost exactly a year ago, it was life changing.
But the last couple of months it's on and off. The last three days was the worst latency I ever experienced.

I used to be on Mweb Premium, and moved to AH, but that was mover a year ago, then it was fantastic, but now AH is like a headless chicken, no one knows what the other is doing, and speeds are beyond pathetic.

Edit: But it can also be the exchange...

Um .... I am no MWEB fan, but believe me - you are better off there than here at the moment.

The 4meg business account is magic when it works .... but right now ......
