What time is Keynote thing? We are in stage 3 of load shedding, so 3 times a day for about 2 - 2.5 hours each...just have to get your schedule to find out when...

8PM tonight, broadcast through Twitch or the PS3/Vita/PS4 app. I'll probably never find a load shedding schedule for JBay, both Eskom and Kouga municipality are incompetent enough to have never posted up one.

And now I have to wonder if I'm going to be load-shed during the Playstation Experience keynote.

Oh thanks, didn't know about this. Just got a PS4 and haven't used it yet, so I'll be sure to watch with my various backup power/devices/isps!

I'm load shedded from 20:00 but have a small solar electric setup. I see it starts then. Let me me run the leads so long ...

Thanks, our final schedule for the day starts at 6pm and ends at 8pm...so just in time, YAY

Is anyone else in the Cape Town area struggling to connect to any websites, getting timeouts on every site I go to, but my torrents are still running full speed. Tried changing dns servers but it's no help. Can't even connect to mybb.

Internet is down this side, ADSL line is up and tracert is working but can't browse any sites.

**Update

Got a response from Afrihost (was really quick), DNS issue on MTN, they are sorting it out.

Thanks Guys! Great service as always.

Internet not working for me either, despite being able to ping websites.

As I mentioned earlier, Afrihost has said it is a DNS issue on MTN and they are sorting it out apparently.....

Up and running normally on a Web Africa capped account.

Why don't non-Afrihost DNS settings work then?

Don't know, as I said it was just there response. I also tried changing the DNS but no luck. They do know about the issue and are trying to fix it.

I am sure there are a lot of people affected by this.

This was the email I got from them,

Good day,

I trust you are well :)

Thank you for your query,
we are aware of the issue here and can assure you that it is not a fault on the line or anything on your end.

The problem of how the DNS resolves websites and services lays on MTN's network,
I have been instructed to inform you that MTN is currently in process of resolving the issue.

In my honest opinion, this should be resolved shortly.

If you are still experiencing this issue by 8pm, please let me know so I can troubleshoot further.

Have a great weekend further,
Kind Regards,
Jason De Klerk

Currently load-shed and on 3G, but before power went out, I noticed that HTTPS worked 100%, but HTTP was down.

They said it should be fixed by 8pm, now they say maybe in the next 4 hours :(

Websites seem to work fine if you browse by IP...

Oh well....

Anyone got a link to the WA trial account signup.

So encrypted is fine? So their traffic shaper?

They normally dont cache https traffic so it could be their caching proxy which normally runs on servers so there is most likely a power outage in a DC because of gen failure or something

Well that is my guess probably very wrong
