Not picking a fight here, but it was not just the front page. In the details all the regions & services were green. As a customer I first go by the colour of my region without wasting time reading all the text if not necessary.

The hiding comment was in response to how long it took to openly on your site admit something is wrong. I have complained about this in the past and the response was that someone higher up in the food chain must make that call.

Let's not dwell on this then. Just hoping for a swift solution to the issues.

The region detail displayed the Google issue on top, marked as resolved and the notice that shows now below that.
Regardless, the website bug has been fixed and is displaying correctly, on the homepage now.

I'm guessing you'll are still having problems? Downloads going at about a quarter of normal speed.

So basically we're paying but won't be getting what we're paying for.

Any estimate on when we can expect things to at least start improving?

We're doing our best to provide the best possible experience available.
No set ETR just yet, but we'll continue to communicate any updates/ changes as they happen.

According to research the success of "proof of concept " ( This is the stage in which Afrihost is in ) is between 25-38%.

So is this how the latency will be all day?

We're working on normalising latency as much as possible.

That really isn't cool, sorry about this :( I promise, we're working really hard on getting things sorted out once and for all.

Understood, wasn't trying to make things worse, just getting my post count up to become a Grandmaster so I am allowed to speak to Gian on the other forum ;)

Hehe, no worries :)
I'm sure your post count won't matter, Gian is running through everyone's posts over in his thread.

More info from Gian around the POC networks

Hey guys

Before I respond to more questions, I just wanted to give you some more details about our 2 proof of concepts (POC's) we'll be asking you to test soon and the way forward.

The two POC's will be codenamed Afrigreen and Afriblue.

Each is fundamentally different from the other, and each has different benefits.

We are going to be giving as many clients as we can the opportunity to test drive the networks and then give us feedback on their experience.

I don't want to tell you any more about the structure or nature of the networks just yet as I don't want anybody to be biased in any way by any preconceived ideas.

Once we make the decision between the two I will let you know all about the structure, how it works, the benefits and the reasons for our choice.

I will be posting a link later where you can go and put in your current Afrihost username and apply to be involved in the POC.

Please Note: As originally mentioned the POC's will be ready for client testing within 2 weeks. However, we are moving heaven and earth to try and have them ready for your use sooner.

As soon as they are ready, you will either be assigned to Afrigreen or Afriblue and we will send you your new router login details to use so that you can go and test it out. These login details will be for the same package as you currently have with us (i.e. Capped, Home Uncapped or Business Uncapped) so you can compare like for like.

We will not be changing the AUP or FUP of any of the packages.

Hope this makes things a bit clearer.

Thanks.

Oy vey the latency she is back!

It is I'm afraid :(
Latency has increased in the East and South regions.

You never know, there are some really grumpy grandmasters out there at the moment!

Woo hoo, I now have 66 posts and climbing!

To be fair, rightfully so :(
But thanks for your support dude - the woohoos have lifted by day a bit :D

And we are back to crappy speeds and latency.....
Hope this doesn't carry on much longer, getting kind of impatient....
