:(
Looks like demand did increase in South around the time you posted this. Hopefully this will be a thing of the past really soon.

Today is a new day and today i look for a new ISP. I cannot carry on like this. I am working on my Vodacom 4G 2 Bars and it is working great.

AfriHost you are going to be owning me money. Also what is this crap that you close your call Center at 8:30PM when it is meant to be open to 12AM.

Also Online Support was down. This is now bull****.

Really sorry to hear that you're wanting to leave :( I can promise you that we're making every effort possible to make sure we have things smoothed out ASAP.
I'm not aware of any Support issues last night though, would you mind PM'ing me a bit more detail around that?

If Gian and AH Reps acknowledges on these forums that there is a problem with the network, where is the formal email communication? At the very least, business clients should know?

You guys need to be upgrading AHEAD of demand, not when demand has exceeded supply. This has happened again and again at AH. Somehow you guys still win Best Movie of the Year category at the Oscars, year after year.

More supply than demand.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuHfVn_cfHU

It has been posted up on the noticeboard.
The recent discussions from both the reps and Gian's thread show that we've changing for the better to ensure supply is met with demand going forward.

... I have no idea what POC stands for, I think it may be Packet Order Correction ( Google search turned up that result as well as many others ), I stand to be corrected by the many networking technical forumites here.....

I think in this context it means "proof of concept"

Stand to be corrected

Seems to be belly up again. Afri* why is the Network Status page green when you're not 100% sure it's been fixed?

The green noticeboard is a website glitch, the notice is still there.
We are seeing increase latency in the region though :(

I understand it's a glitch, but it should really not happen. There should be systems in place to control that I would guess.
I have to say the biggest thing p*ssing me off is the fact that your site always stays green even when there are major issues. It took weeks of moaning from our side until it finally went orange. I can deal with slow speeds if you are honest and upfront about it, but this hiding and having to proof when you can see there are issues is not on.

We're still honest and upfront about it, it's just a colour change on our website - and has absolutely nothing to do with us wanting to hide it.

The bug has been resolved.

I'm keeping everything crossed that the fault specific to your exchange/ DSLAM is really fixed up soon.

This is not my exchange, friend in Durban getting the same shyte latency at the moment.

Latency is higher than what we'd like, this is due to increased demand in the South and East regions though.
Your specific issue is a fault between MTN/ Telkom that needs to be resolved.

The million dollar question, is Afrihost doing anything about it? I have not had any feedback after countless promises.

Not picking a fight here, but it was not just the front page. In the details all the regions & services were green. As a customer I first go by the colour of my region without wasting time reading all the text if not necessary.

The hiding comment was in response to how long it took to openly on your site admit something is wrong. I have complained about this in the past and the response was that someone higher up in the food chain must make that call.

Let's not dwell on this then. Just hoping for a swift solution to the issues.
