Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback - 2

We need to wait for things to settle first, what we've done in the past once issues have been resolved we give back where we can.

Exactly...

When you've had IPC issues - NOTHING was received from Afrihost except bills.
When you've had issues with your shaping or whatever it was - NOTHING was received from Afrihost except bills...
DNS issues - NOTHING...
Endless times of authentication issues - NOTHING...

The only thing you're good at sending, is tax invoices, and payment reminders (or threats rather)

Double data has been there, we've given away free GBs wherever possible - to only mention a few.
Believe it or not, we do actually care about our clients.

What kind of compensation are you looking for, specifically?

And how is free GB applicable to uncapped accounts? That's just backwards

speeds are down the crapper again and downloads are throttled looks like they are trying to keep the latency down and the shortage of ipc dont help

AfriPeople, what's the deal with being told it isn't IPC and then Gian posts that it is IPC?

Did they lie to you about it, or was it just something to keep under wraps?

I'll wait for a reply to this.

It was a question that I asked and was told it's not IPC.

To be honest, uncapped accounts never get anything for free, what's the use of double data, fee GB's on a uncapped account. You admit to issues, your CEO admits to issues, and you still charge full price. Your current product is defective, and its now public knowledge, but you still charge full price. Is that right?

I think we've mentioned a few times here that we give back where we can, compensation can be looked at once we've had things sorted. If you want to dispute something now that has to be done via our Accounts team directly.

I know you keep mentioning it, but as a long time user, I have yet to see anything, other than what I pay for, and recently I don't even get that.

Streaming with Supersport and Twitch never got fixed, I eventually cancelled part of my dstv, why pay if you can view it online.

We can always look at something on a case by case basis, but I'm confident that these improvements that are rolling out will sort things out.

There haven't been any conspiracy theories here, no one has been lied to :)
Demand has always been there and we've had to keep up with us - recently not as well as we'd have liked. Gian explains the rest in his post though.
I posed this question of IPC shortage to you some time ago.

Your answer was clear - that it was not an IPC problem.

Yet your CEO now states it was.

How do you explain that?

This answer was clearest. I'm tracking mine down.

Wow... that post's from Feb though. I think a lot has changed since then.
Please review comms from my previous post, everything is answered and discussed there.

A reply was given the very next post as well as here

It is important to remember that there were a number of factors in play affecting performance on our ADSL network, upgrading the IPC was one option, and trying to get our network management software to cope with the traffic volumes were another factor.

In the end neither option would have worked out, which is why we are opting for the two POCs that we currently are. Our Clientbase has grown immensely, and we hope will continue to grow, and that is why are we opting for options that give us significantly more control and upgrade potential than we have had.
