Hi all

We saw increased latency on the South IPC last night, this should have all normalised back to normal at around 10pm last night though.
How are things looking today?

Still bad:

This looks like it may be exchange related looking at the 2nd hop latency :( Would you mind posting an updated one so we can compare?

Tracert doesn't show the bad latency we had last evening. I'd run a speed test, but the page either won't load or the the test stops mid way.

It actually feels like dial-up at the moment. No joke.

Now I can't even load this forum, the afrihost website and a bunch of other sites. Speedtest.net thinks I'm in Maputo and won't even complete a test. I'm using an openweb account to write this post.

Please AH, sort your s**t out. I can't work like this :(

The speedtest may be reflecting an IP that hasn't been updated just yet, this shouldn't be affecting your overall experience though.
Are you able to paste a traceroute that we can have a look at for you?

@AfriGuy - my account is still active even though they say its not - if someone can please disable it, I won't be home until tomorrow to do it myself. (downloads are automated)

Lest see what's happening here.
Drop me a PM with a ref# so I can follow up on the communication with our Accounts team and take things from there :)

Thanks for your help, AfriGuy, but I've cancelled both accounts and am looking elsewhere for internet. Your service was really good while it lasted, so I'm sad to go.

Sorry to hear you're leaving us :(
Please let me know if you want to run more troubleshooting on this via PM.

Hi Afriguy,

This really isn't what I expect from you guys.

I still have not received any feedback from my fault #HNV-489-11061

Now when I truly need my service this is what I get

I can truly say that I am seriously reconsidering your service. Again I feel that it is unfair to expect us to pay for a service that we clearly are not receiving.

Additionally I still haven't had a response from you WRT my pm.

Something is def. wrong, I am in Monte Vista, Cape Town on a business account and this afternoon I am getting sporadic throughput, avg. @ 1/4 of my normal throughput. Please Afriman, please investigate.
