The iOS 8 update is nearly 6GB, although I saw on my girlfriends iPhone the actual download is under 1GB. I dunno, not clued up on Apple things. Android fanboi at heart :p

About just under a Gig on Iphone and about 1.3 Gigs on iPad ;)
 
The iOS 8 update is just under 1GB if performed on the device itself, which means that with a 2mbps line performing at full speed you'd get it in just about an hour. Most people here are complaining of speeds on their 4/6/8/10/20mbps business lines which would net them the update in about 30/20/15/12/6 minutes respectively. Hardly a crazy congestion, especially if spread out over the course of a day.

The demand has been fairly consistent throughout the day, we do expect the demand to decrease soon. We're doing everything possible to create the best experience for everyone.

Still slow, no improvement all day, still running at 25% of my paid account speed. Surely this lack of service qualifies for a refund of some type?

I'm sure we'll see the speeds normalise soon.
This still doesn't look to be affecting all users - we're doing our best to get this back to normal levels.
 
Is anyone else's P2P speed being affected today ( Cape Town area), http downloads are running at full-ish speed but P2P is just pathetic, barely getting 30kb/s on a 2mb line

I have 2 of these afrihost Bussiness accounts and they all crawling at 300-400k on 10mps.
I am not using P2P or torrent just FTP and they slow..

I highly doubt that IOS 8 is to blame, well i sincerly hope so as i would love my speeds to return to normal.

Hope it get sorted soon :wtf:
