How do I give someone a fuzzy? I was assisted by an associate called "Mattuys" when I called in 2 days ago. It was SUCH a pleasure dealing with him, and he really knew his stuff. Just wanted to thank him for sorting out my ADSL line issues, and to thank him for the great customer service.

We'll pass it on for you :)

Consider him fuzzied ;)

I have come to the conclusion that this is going no where, my edge on my ipad is faster than my 2mb business account...

We've tried a few things, we can only keep trying to try and get some improvement.

Can you PM me and give me an update me on this? :(

So after a whole 5 days of using Cybersmart I'm back to AfriHost...this time for the Business Uncapped 2Mb/s.
Speeds have been great, but seem to have slowed down lately.

Here are my test result...

Please help @AfriMan!

Unfortunately you have some line issues :/ try reporting a fault to telkom/afrihost and running the "fix my line" tool in clientzone :)

I'd really appreciate it if one of the reps from Afrihost would please address my open ticket on your support side, its now going on three days and still not a word!

Please help @AfriMan!

Your local pings and second hop and traces are pretty awful. Looks like you have a line or exchange problem here. Who is your line with?

Sorry to hear that you're not getting help with this. Could you PM me the ticket ID and I'll have a look and get you some help :(

@AfriMan it's currently with Afrihost. I've tried the online tool but no change

All of a sudden massive lag on streaming, when it's been fine all afternoon from about 12 til now. Was watching something on Dailymotion, then it started lagging in the middle of a 40 minute video, which was running fine up til then.

Checked Youtube, same thing - buffering in sy moer in. The main culprit seems to be packet loss, as Speedtest.net returns normal speed - 1.75mbps.

Ping - confirms packet loss:

We're not seeing general packet loss or latency on the network at the moment. This might be a line issue. We'll need some more tests to confirm.

Afri*, I find online gaming on PS4 has degraded seriously over the last 3 weeks. During these bad times, I do quick tracerts to afrihost.com as well as bbc.co.uk with no issues (so not congestion or local line use) - however I'm not sure how to help you diagnose these issues.

I've tried a different ISP (Mweb) and my PS4 online gaming was perfect, so I believe the issue to be ISP related. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can help you fix this fault?

I haven't seen any issues on my side playing PS3, but there could be differences in how PS4 and PS3 network traffic is generated/handled. We'd need to have some concrete troubleshooting results to escalate though.

Does the PS4 have some network testing tools that you can run from the console to diagnose?

Unfortunately all it has is "can I connect to the internet or not" - there's no ping testing or anything like that.

I know PS4 uses different ports to PS3, perhaps your network doesn't consider the traffic to be real-time and adjusts it accordingly?
