In fact, its better than before - I just got a 201ms ping & 1mBps on my speedtest to London :wtf:

Hope it stays this way!
 
My capped account is completely screwed. For the past 5 days it's been getting progressively worse and worse, by next week it's going to be a dial-up account.

Mine too... it's been like this for about 2 weeks. What's the bet that it "miraculously" comes right at 23:00????
....just like it has every night :(
So much for "we don't throttle, or limit Business accounts".... - what a load of crap!
 
Wow, since MTN bought 50% of the shares my line has gone to the dogs on my 1Meg Account.

Looks like the problem might have been my line. I recreated the port and re-synched at 8mb and so far so good

Also had an odd speed wobble last night, then it seemed to recover. Odd thing is speedtests never seem to reflect the actual speed. The test will show fantastic results, but then downloading a display driver from Nvidia will take 2hrs to download on a 10MB line?

At first I thought it was only Afrihost misbehaving, but after I got terrible results (tracerts & pings) to www.afrihost.com and www.yahoo.com with Afrihost, Axxess, OpenWeb AND Webafrica accounts, I realized it must be my line / exchange.

It was hard to narrow down at first, because the 1st couple of minutes of testing were fine, but eventually the issues started creeping back on all accounts tested.

Sounds like my issue is not the same everyone else's. 8mb will have to do for now!
 
Morning All!

I saw a few posts last night about bad speeds but looks like most of you reported this seemed to come right. I've also got PM's from most of you, so will reply to each as I get to them. With all the MTN queries coming in, I must apologise for how long it's taking me to get to your queries. But please PM me if you desperately need assistance, in case I've missed a critical post, so I can make sure you get some assistance.
