Afrihost Business Uncapped Feedback

It hasn't been a month of slow speeds though, I think the iOS updates caused the initial spike with no real recovery from there.
Our team is super hard at work trying to get the services normalised.

Your home page lists issues starting 03/09/2014, for the south region, so its almost a month

This was affecting very few clients, I was directing more of the issues towards the recent increase in demand we've seen :(

From the trend I can see on the jinx graphs, the demand of the whole country has been spiking for the past 3 weeks. Not saying that this directly reflects what is happening at Afrihost, but it does look like it is more than just the IOS update that is spiking demand. From what I can see at the other ISP's, and what I am currently experiencing on other networks, they are dealing with it a bit better than Afrihost at the moment.

While I understand that Afrihost is doing its best to try and rectify the situation, the fact remains that clients are still not getting what they are paying for, and in many cases having to resort to alternative accounts. Buying a product and then not getting what is being paid for usually means a refund in any other industry in the country. Even telkom will credit your account when your service is down or not performing for an extended period of time.

You're right, I think demand overall (even globally) has been really high recently.
We're well aware that our clients aren't getting the best possible experience with us - and I promise you, it isn't being brushed off.

Internet is stone dead now. Simple web browsing is impossible (having to use 3G to post this).

Anything up in the Edenvale area? Or Afrihost in general?

There is higher than normal demand in the North, do you have a traceroute I can look at though? Might be able to verify this for you.

We'll come out of this, we have before and we came out stronger.
No No No you know that's not true. Before it was just the uncapped that suffered now everything is suffering. I see Afrihost won ISP of the year again??? I don't know how. I for one don't agree. Were can one find a decent capped service as I just don't believe in this uncapped model anymore.

I don't think we limited down to certain accounts, we've been as transparent as we can about what's happening on the network.
As for the ISP of the year award, I'm really proud of it. While I know the last (maybe) month has been a little rough for some clients, the rest of the year is what counts - and we've seen many, many positives this year.

Speed ridiculously slow. 6mb line. Getting only half speed.

@Afriguy So now both MySQL and SQL are blocked on our business uncapped starting at 15:30. You do know some of us use this for actual work, don't you? This actually happened just after your critical care phoned, so great job that, now we have the problem on a previously unaffected line.

PS:
Are there any other developers out there experiencing this? Only happens with uncompressed MySQL so most of the MySQL management tools like SQLYog still work but your applications probably won't unless you switch them to the compressed protocol.

When the clock strikes 08:00 your speed drops off a cliff, browsing, email everything is dead slow...
I guess everyone waits for exactly 08:00 to start using bandwidth.
