Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

I had support close all the active connections and the moment my router start connecting it gets and IP, send between 80 and 160 bytes then the IP connection is dropped, and so it goes on and on. Nothing changed on my side that I am aware of, I will see if I have an old modem in the attic to see whether it makes a difference. But if ADSL is up, it authenticates and gets an Afrihost IP then then I suspect the problem is at Afrihost's network. I will also buy another ISP account to test with later :-(

I did message AfriMan/Guy my account name to check out.

Hhhmm, I'd like to get this checked out if AfriMan hasn't already replied to your PM :)
I'll just need the DSL username, can run some checks from there.

I tried Afrigreen now in TrackMania. Ping is a bit high (about 230 to international servers) ,but it seems stable. No more disconnects and falling back to UDP only.

I guess the latency is because I'm in the Southern region.

Yes, you might see a little more latency, so hopefully when we get local IPC in the South, we can bring that to close to or under 200ms (which would be great) :)
 
Any problems with capped 50+50gig accounts,last days has been horrid,can't do anything,on for 10seconds then off,hardly load a page.telkom says everything is fine,modem shows everything is on dsl,internet,getting connection at pc,but seems like afri is giving the problem

That doesn't sound good... We're not seeing any network wide issues on our Capped accounts. Are you able to switch to an AfriGreen account to compare results?
