haha

I tried Afrigreen now in TrackMania. Ping is a bit high (about 230 to international servers) ,but it seems stable. No more disconnects and falling back to UDP only.

I guess the latency is because I'm in the Southern region.
I can't even connect to a server... just gives me ' can not contact server'. Don't feel like switching ISPs just to check now, with all the crap connectivity I've had today

Can you traceroute to that server? Or can you provide the server IP so we can ping it?

When I got the same connecting to my work via putty this morning, I removed both ISP configurations, created AH on its own and rebooted the modem. Seems fine now. Modem might have been confused between the different DNS settings , who knows...

Btw, it was only the Trackmania server and my work that was a problem (both requiring some kind of authentication)

Makes sense. I appreciate the update :)

196.7.7.7 seems to be causing all sorts of havoc with my connection. Without it, the results are perfect

With it - I'm lucky if I open google correctly. It's quite bizarre. I'm positive it's the only thing I change - and it manages to decrease throughput (which is basically impossible)...

That's very strange indeed... Can you set the DNS to use 196.7.8.9 and 8.8.8.8 and see if you experience a drop in throughput again.

Using 196.7.7.7 - throughput is quite bad.
Using 8.8.8.8 - 100's?

Maybe its just temporary...

Yeah.. That is strange. Do you have an AfriGreen account that you can test with quickly?

I am in Port Shepstone, South of Durban. But I don't seem to be using your Durban server like I normally do. This picture shows my originating server in Bloemfontein.

That could just be a geo-IP issue :) Try rebooting your router, it normally settles it.
