Using chrome google doesnt work with Afrihost but works fine with Telkom, when does Afrihost plan to sort this out because its been happening for a long time now.

Morning!

There definitely shouldn't be any issues at all with Chrome at the moment, what issue are you having exactly with Chrome? I want to try and see if I can replicate it from my side.

iOS downloads maxed at 30KB/s on a Sunday night... Seriously Afrihost this is getting old now. Surely after a month of looking into it someone must know the problem? If not you guys need a new technical support team.

:(

Really not cool to see that your iOS updates continue to be affected like that. Would you mind if our Team contacts you directly? I want to see if they can help you in getting your iOS update speeds back-up.

4 DC in destiny on ps4 in 5min Ffs Afrihost can't you guys get anything right?

Yep, same yesterday with BF4 on PS4. My traces and pings were perfect. Router rebooted and still had issues. Had no issues when I went to my WA account!

What time was this more or less?

Was BF4 dropping the connection or was it the connection to PSN?

It was +- 15:00-16:00. I started to experience insane lag, rubber banding etc. I did an in-game latency test it it came back with 1000ms+ and over 20% packet loss. So I did a trace route to Afrihost.com and it was solid between 30ms-50ms, so the problem wasn't with my line, but more with international traffic. Then my game disconnected, although I still had Party comms, so PSN was ok. At this point I changed to WebAfrica and had no issues further.

Very strange, if it happens again, please let me know immediately, I want our Critical Care Team to check exactly what happened and try figure out how to fix it.

Google search would just time out, its working again now but its always been intermittent so i expect the problem to return again.

After a week or so of running fine with my Telkom account I decided to switch back to Afrihost.
I restored the settings and rebooted but the router is not going beyond the "LCP is allowed to come up" message.
Tried a power off and a reboot several times with no joy.
Any suggestions?
It was fine till I anterd Afrihost details.

Not sure why your authentications are failing :(
Drop me a PM with the DSL username and I can check the logs for you.

Hmmm, that is a significant difference, do you perhaps know where that MyBB Server is? It looks like it may be an international speedtest looking at that latency.

Clearly states on the speed test that the server is in JHB.

Even your critical care can't seem to fix the issue but sure whoever feels like they can fix it can phone me.

Hi AfriGuy

I also have no luck with an Afrihost account authenticating in Fish Hoek & Noordhoek ...
and strangely enough neither will Axxess accounts authenticate there either... been down since late morning...
but non Axxess / Afrihost account have no issues.

Telkom says no issues... hence my post here.

Odd :( Can't see anything published on the SAIX noticeboard about this either.
Drop me a PM with the line number/ DSL username and I'll check things out for you.

I was fine this morning till I reset the Router and then couldn't authenticate on any account.
It just came back on its own after a few of hours.
I am in Hout Bay so we are probably both on the same central exchange or they are updating our local exchanges, either way if you are only getting as far as IPC is allowed to come up, go and have a couple of cold ones and see if it resolves itself.

Very strange... There was a slight spike in authentication requests, but that could have been from any sort of loadshedding. Would you mind sending me a PM with your ADSL username, I just want to check our logs to make sure there isn't anything untoward happening.
