Try changing DNS to the following to see if it makes any difference at all on OSX updates:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

Just tested with Google DNS setting and downloads are the same.

According to your support they identified and fixed the iOS issue 2 days ago, clearly they are mistaken.

Just confirmed with our team, we're aware of the issues across OSX and MS updates :( It's something we're working on.

Agreed, was shocked now when I did some App updates. Crawled for 5 minutes i.e. the circle moved in mm's if at all on the 7 apps I was updating. I'm not patient so switched to Vox and the updates were done in 1 minute flat...
 
iOS still running slow since 12PM. It's crazy that I can't even update an application on a 10Mbps line.

Dial into VPN, Problem solved. It's what you come to expect with afrihost.
 
Using chrome google doesnt work with Afrihost but works fine with Telkom, when does Afrihost plan to sort this out because its been happening for a long time now.
 
iOS downloads maxed at 30KB/s on a Sunday night... Seriously Afrihost this is getting old now. Surely after a month of looking into it someone must know the problem? If not you guys need a new technical support team.

I am sure they know how to fix the problem. It is probably persuading MTN to spend the money to fix it that is taking so long.
 
I've got an easier solution for you all. Move to Web Africa business capped. Double the price but worth it. I felt the difference straight away.

Went to my dad last week and he is on Afrihost still, so sloooow.
