Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

Hi All
Quick question...
I have a 150GB capped 4MB account.
There are 2 people including myself that make use of the internet...
How do I track how much bandwidth the other person is using over a given time (day, month, week etc)?
Is this possible?

There's an option in ClientZone to filter data usage per line :)

What do you mean "per line"?
We're using the same line. I'm connected via cable and the other person is connected via WIFI.
I basically need to know how much of that 150GB cap the other person has used

Sorry, I missed that you're using the same line.
In that case, there's no easy way here - you'll need to get a something like pfSense setup. We can only track the data from your line.

A simpler option would be to install bandwidth monitors on each PC.

I mailed you now ([email protected], right?)
Please have a look at something for me.....
Thanks

Rhodad if you are trying to do this secretly without the other person knowing. You could install a bandwidth monitor on your pc and then deduct your usage from the total usage on the client zone?

So
One router, one ADSL line, 2 people connected.
Would a bandwidth counter on one PC represent the total amount of data that flowed through the router or would it represent the total amount of data downloaded by that PC?

A decent app should be able to separate LAN and WAN traffic.
Give BitMeterOS a shot.

Afrihost refund me the credit amount in my account so I don't have to hang around on this painful network for another month. I will take my business elsewhere.

Again?! :(

Are you seeing any other service with problematic speeds or latencies?

haven't checked. To tell the truth I'm over tests! I've sent enough for your support find the issue.

All I want is my account running like it does if I change over to another ISP. Arrange a refund for me please so I can leave.

I've also sent you a PM with another headache your support created for me with telkom. I now have to struggle again to get my line changed back to 10Mbps because some clever support guy thought it was fit to report slow access on my line to telkom.

Telkom without asking question just dropped the line sync speed. Wtf for I have no idea because my line runs 100% when using web Africa or crystal web!

Same high latency on the 3rd hop which your critical care team have admitted is an Afrihost owned server.

Clearly the tests I've been sending through are being printed and used as toilet paper because it's been like this for over a month now.

:(

I'll get hold of Telkom and get them to push the line sync back to 10Mbps. I at least hope it was one of the Telkom Techs that did it manually and it wasn't the DSMS that dropped the sync.

It was changed manually.

Which also shows that if the DSMS didn't change the sync automatically there was nothing wrong this the sync rate and SNR to begin with.

We'll check in with Telkom to raise the profile again. If the DSMS was happy, it was more than likely done manually by a technician. Will give you feedback via PM :(
