Afrihost Capped ADSL Feedback (MTN) - New beginning

Pretty much any game I play has some sort of lag. Even if it shows the ping to be around 200ms (to europe), things will just teleport around me or it takes 2-3secs before my attack goes through, this is for Wildstar when I played last night. World of Tanks NA server just seems to be giving me hiccups on my ping which only started a couple of days ago.

In the process of checking out Path of Exile for the upcoming Expansion release this friday (updating it atm). Really hope it isn't as effected as much as the others are :(

What area are you in? The South and North are looking OK for now, the East doesn't look that great though.

I know our guys are trying to get gaming sorted out, but I think ideally things will be really great once we've implemented one of the two POCs.
 
Im in the South ofc I have had this problems since march but ye I know there is 0 you can do and I am just blowing money on web africa cap even though I am paying afrihost basically for fun

The South IPC shouldn't be too bad at the moment :(

I can't believe the south is ok. I'm in Cape Town and I can't do any of what Prodegy mentioned. Tomorrow can't come soon enough.

We are seeing a spike up in demand now, but my tests at home seem usable though. We'll keep looking into it.

Ya... here in the South too it is barely usable. packet loss, dimished thorughput and latency spikes.... the standard Afrihost MTN thing of late.

If barely "usable" is the new Afrihost yardstick for OK.

My router is syncing at 10Mbps yes, on Telkom "fastest". Router says that 20Mbps is available tho.

OK coolios, those results aren't bad for a 10Mbps profile at all, all things considered ;)
 
Download speed hasn't really been an issue at all during all this for me.... it the latency and packet loss...

Those are the results I've been seeing on my home connection too :( It's definitely something that's being worked on though.
