We definitely don't have a way to distinguish devices on your local network. We basically see your router, and that's pretty much it. This would indicate there are settings at local network or device level. If other devices are wireless and you connected with a LAN cable, could highlight where you're having an issue :(

Thanks for the feedback Afriman. I have replaced the modem with my backup routers and the problem still persists, please keep in mind this problem only started occurring last week on the day of the IOS8 release. Calls logged with your helpdesk will prove this. Why would all my usual devices be impacted like this across multiple routers? Its also definitely not an issue confined to Ethernet or WiFI because this happens regardless of connection method. I need help resolving this please.

I think we need to look at some diagnostic tests to get a clearer answer :) Do you have a ref# I can follow up on?

This really isn't great, sincerely sorry about the slow speeds that you've been seeing recently.
Does it stay like this, or are the results inconsistent?

On my original account, international has been like this since July. Capped almost at this speed. On my new account, alas, it has now become the norm.

Very seldom is anything near line speed attained, and if it is, it is killed at 8am, and, maybe, if lucky, will see it puff over the 3Mbps mark for a few spurts, then spatter back to anything from 1.8Mbs to 2.8Mbs.

Other ISP accounts do not suffer this at all.

It is an Afrihost exclusive.

Seven days, two follow ups and I'm still waiting for my line speed increase. If SOMEONE could just freaking up my speed... That'd be great.

So speed tests tell my my line speed is 1Mbps, afrihost client zone tells me its 3Mbps and tech support told me I'm mistaken, its 4Mbps...

My account went from uncapped, to capped, to I'm lookking for an honest opinion on who my new ISP is going to be.

I logged a support ticket about my horrible connection speed and got zero phukkall response.

If possible, tell me why my 4Mbps line cannot ONCE play a 360p video off youtube, I can't ouch a 720p stream with a ten foot pole, my normal downloads are retarded-(downloading the awesome afrihost tester tool at a whopping 6,5kb/s... really?)-ly slow and I don't bother attempting torrents anymore...

@i.got~issues: How's your speeds at the moment? See it had improved then went south again.

Hi

Better than they have been since July... but still off their former glory;

Seems to fluctuate somewhat, and I assume Southern "demand and iOS updates" still influencing the results .... still.

My Youtube in CPT is better but not all there yet. Extremely frustrating, really inconsistent. Can usually handle 480p fine but I have to sometimes refresh a video a few times to get it to play through. Connected to 40mbps box, on 2mbps line.
