So ( I know you've become used to double data every month, it's been a tough one to drop it ) so double Data will then definitely be canceled 31 Dec?

Nothing has been 100% confirmed at this stage, we'll make an announcement for everything next month.

Does that imply R2.50 per gig? And can it be applied with Auto topups?

2 for 1 topups are activated at random times, as they've always been, for both Mobile and DSL. I'll need to double check it auto-topups apply for you :)

Edit: When 2 for 1 topups are enabled, auto topups will also qualify.

Ah but what happens when opinions are actually based off fact?

Thing u have put together a package that is designed to hit a wide range of people, but as a result of throwing ur net so wide some customer's needs have fallen through the cracks.

We can't appeal to everyone, we know that. Again - we aren't forcing anyone to signup, it's entirely up to you how you'd like to manage your account.

Just to clarify, I mean with Plus+ after 31 December. Would you pay R2 per gig for whatever initial data allocation and R2.50 per gig ( 2 for 1) on auto topup? No surprises.

But in order to get the R99 price break you have to sign up today, but the information we need to make the decision will only be released in a week or two.

It is the Obfuscation and pure marketing speak that annoys me.
Drop Double Data by all means but then revert back to offering a fixed price per Gig and let us choose the cap, just like it used to be.
Saying it is still good value is irrelevant when a package has a different value proposition for each users needs.

If you allocate 2 for 1 topups to a data account, it'll be 2 for 1 all the time.

Ok that has been fully stated on many an occasion, but how can you be happy to loose a whole section of clients?

How was the question not asked whether people would actually want all the AH+ options?

Im guessing time will tell. If there is a big enough client percentage drop come 1st January then maybe there will be more AH+ package options to choose from.

We aren't trying to trick anyone into signing up.
If you want to try it, why not sign up for a free trial? https://clientzone.afrihost.com/en/get-afrihost-plus?var=nonsurveyb#/orderform/afriplus

I don't think there will be a mass exodus of clients. The add-on is in it's infancy, with trials only going out now - so we'll follow what we've always done and keep an eye on how things go. Tweaks and changes can always be made.

Because having selected a 60Gig account yesterday only to find it is a 30Gig account as of Dec31 I will not be using the Client Zone or adding any other packages until my account is reverted back to what it was :)

Client Zone used to be simple, now it is a minefield navigated with the worst user interface since windows 8.0

Sorry to hear you feel that way, our ClientZone has some of the best functionality out there - where improvements are always being implemented.

I guess it is just personal preference and the fact that I have been using the internet for too long but I expect a tool like that to be simple, clean, scalable to any screen size and use browser short cuts like the back button. Not Flash or SilverLight or whatever based floating windows and active menus that disable browser controls and keyboard shortcuts, whilst presenting un scalable graphics in untillable windows.

It may be a work of art and a marketers dream but for Network management it sucks, if a client wants to know use patterns on two accounts I can no longer pull up 2 graphs and compare them side by side scaled to the screen.

And showing a Package as 60Gig when in reality it is 30G with a soon to expire extension is definitely misleading and not designed for easy navigation or account management.

But, I am not trying to take it out on you AfriGuy, you are probably the most open and helpful of all the AfriGeeks, it is your Company and its shift to marketing over Technical Excellence that is causing me headaches :)

I wasn't implying there would be. But based on the backlash on the MyBB article and the comments here im sure there would be some noticeable decline.

FYI I personally love the clientzone and ur competitors have nothing like this, something I already miss.

It's all done in PHP (from what I know) with CSS and stuffz, I'm no website dev though. It's there to be as simple as possible, and has evolved quite a bit since we launched ClientZone 2.0 a while back. It'll also continue to do so, I know design trends change - and we'll try and keep ahead of the curve as much as possible.

Thanks for your feedback though, it doesn't go un-noticed :)

There may be, there may not be - I guess we'll have to roll with whatever happens :) We've always made client centric decisions, and this will be no different.

Kudos where it's due. I'm watching the Bvd vs Fnatic game in csgo Dreamhack on twitch. Watching on source and not a single buffer. Well done!
