My happiness was short-lived......

This was the view for about 3 minutes (yes, 2 minutes and 57 seconds, I timed how long it took to load after trying for the 4th time....):

Took about a minute to open this thread as well.

This was a Speedtest from earlier when everything was just fine:

Unstable se moer, this is a joke.

You've obviously got a problem with your line somewhere :(
My account has been running at 10Megs this whole weekend.
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3060856269 (usually 8.4Mbps down but someone's browsing atm).

That is what Hellscum is "trying to figure out". I hope that someone there realizes that the line itself is screwed and fixes the damn thing.
Our line also used to be at close to 10Mb constantly.

Hopefully Afrihost can pressure them into fixing the line. Soon. Very soon. As in the next week.

If you pick up the phone, is it noisy?

Did a Speedtest at 10-42pm, 6.2Mb.

Right after that was done, the line went dead again. Now 11-20pm and just rebooted the router for the 7th time and still no connection.
PLEASE fix the line or give the Hellscum dudes a klap or something.

I have a good mind to cancel the ADSL service and just use the Mifi, but that would work out way too expensive for a 100Gb package.....

Edited to add: 8th reboot amd now theres a connection again.

Sorry that you are having such a torrid time. For many going Mobile is the only viable solution until the infrastructure problems are improved :(

well im glad to hear that im not the only one having issues with AH and Telkom .... most a telkom issue.

my line speed is supposed to be 4mbps...

Mmmm, let me troll in here for a bit while Afriguy looks for the ban button. :)

Jip. It's what Roadcat says.

And before someone flames me, I do have a capped AH product. This did not perform very well on Saturday. Streaming was terrible.

Cape Town is experiencing a problem on the network, so we're running at a hugely diminished capacity.

Should be restored as soon as Telkom can tell us what is happening :(

Not torrid at all. Let me just say that every time I see a Telkom van in the area I want to throw bricks at it. Maybe then they will wake up and give me back my 10Mb line.

The Southern Region DSL has been affected by an IPC failure. Telkom Specialists are onsite resolving the issue as quickly as possible.
