Afrihost CAPPED ADSL Feedback (MTN)

Unfortunately, in the north - Randburg - streaming (YouTube, any quality) absolutely useless. Switched to WA, smooth as butter in loadshedded fridge.

I am not sure what is worse, watching in SD and constant buffering or seeing part of a video in HD but having to then start it again and skip to where you were every few min.
As soon as one thing is fixed something else breaks :(

It ran for 29 min this time, now I have to start the stream at the beginning again, definately an international glitch.

Good Morning

We worked till pretty late yesterday to improve performance and it seems like most of the work that needed to be done is now complete and performance is looking much better from the overall network. I see a few posts confirming that clients here are experiencing the same.

Please keep posting speedtests and traceroutes (with your username) through the day so we can give the technical team this info to help them make any final adjustments they may need to get performance on track for the weekend. Just please also include what your line should be be (the actual sync rate) and post whether it's good or poor so we can get a balanced idea of what's going on.
 
My 4mb looked good this morning on AH after spending last night on WA with the ups and downs going on.
 
It's the first time, in literally months, that I can watch twitch.tv on high quality. YouTube also streaming comfortably in 1080p.

DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING :p

Day 4:
Still on the hunt for elusive 250GB datasteal.. It visits my dreams and haunts my thoughts...
Was close to grasping it but someone other hunter beat me to it, I saw red and thought about giving up entirely but I am too stubborn to do it, only a thought at this point.

Upon meeting the local friendly individuals, going my the names of Miss M and Afrigene I became hestitant to trust these local tribes people as my thoughts were not clear as I was clearly showing symptoms of illness..

Miss M has abandoned us, she seemed to of wondered off for the day, will she return?

Was this hunt too much for me to take on? Only time will tell.
Today is a new day and hopefully I wont be dealt a crushing blow.

Glad to say though my line is finally behaving itself.
 
Last I checked I was getting 2.5 download on a 4mb line. Hope they sort out things before I move
 
Seems Cape Town is fine, well atleast for me, Both in CBD and Souther Peninsula both working optimal and has been for sometime
