What are open web like? I see their 4MB uncapped is the same price as AH.

Best! I laughed.Openweb is offering ADSL users 1GB free ADSL data on its “Gold level” ADSL network. According to Openweb these accounts offer low latency, and are aimed at gamers which have been struggling with high latency recently.
“We have noticed that clients from various ISPs are suffering from high latency, effectively preventing gamers from playing online games. We are helping out by granting access to our Gold level ADSL network to the first 200 folks to take us up on this obligation free offer,” said Openweb’s Keoma Wright.
Internet has slowed to a trickle the past 30 minutes ... Can't load any web pages, even MyBB is very slow. Anyone else? 50 GB AH capped account.

Busy speaking with some of the different ISPs, and charting what packages Afrihost offers, and what the equivalent is at other ISPs, for everyone in Cape Town who now needs to move. I will post my findings later.
We've already started passing on massive savings on Business DSL and we're planning to launch some new price cuts pretty soon. Obviously I can't say more, but our intention is to find our feet, assess what the impact of the move has been on our client base, and then launch our next price assault accordingly.
That's one way to deal with it - a bad way in my opinion. Offer general pricing advantages to everyone in the future. A better way: get a list of people that are specifically unhappy (read: on the verge of moving on) and offer them something specific, and related to them. I am a 60GB capped client - I don't want Business Uncapped. And I'm certainly not sticking around to see what specials come over the next few months....
The good news is that even though we've experienced some teething problems, on a whole the move has been a great success.
Thumb up Afriman and the AH team.
No issues what so ever tonight.
First time in a week i could shoot some peeps in BF3![]()
Must be wonderful to be in JHB, and have the only IPC on the current Afrihost network. Best ping I can get in CPT is 65ms with Afrihost. Switch to Openweb and I get 16ms.Open Web
