Afrihost Capped DSL Feedback

It said so mid January when I changed (To be effective 1 Feb ) :) Will send the info

Any feedback on post #273 ?

Are you still seeing P/L? Let's troubleshoot this a little more over PM. :)

Any response to my post #295 and NewBiks #296 ?

Sorry. We reported this to our NOC Team this morning and they are confident that your experience should improve. How are things running for you right now?

Yes the NOC team are confident your experience should improve maybe next month or next year or even when enough people have jumped ship to stop the congestion. It's guaranteed to improve sometime, we just can't tell you when.

You then ask him how things are running at 3:44PM when clearly he is complaining like everyone else here about poor performance during peak periods (6PM - 11PM) not in the afternoon when you know your network is not congested.

Read his test result FFS!

Yeah so, Twitch is dead on Afrihost again tonight. Forced to connect to my Vox account to actually watch stuff. Pings are also unstable again... See below

Things were slow as hell this morning. Switched to vox.

Also noticed a general ping difference between AH and vox during nonpeak. I will try to see if I can record the difference and post it here.

Lol. My stream told me "no connection" even though there is. Its just timing out from slow responses.
So its not really wrong that its telling me "no connection"

Last night was not good, 290ms latency between 20h30 and 20h00. It magically dropped to 190ms again at 20h00 on the dot.

Somethings I never knew about packet loss..interesting (for me at least :) )

Having one or more non-responding intermediate hops is very normal and doesn't indicate there is a problem. If everything else looks good, just ignore those hops.
...
290ms again tonight.

Code:
Tracing route to vienna.at [194.183.128.94]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

  1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms ARCHER_D5 [192.168.0.1]
  2 * * * Request timed out.
  3 14 ms 11 ms 10 ms cpt-up1.ip.adsl.co.za [169.1.5.105]
  4 125 ms 116 ms 112 ms 169-1-21-66.ip.afrihost.co.za [169.1.21.66]
