Afrihost eviscerates uncapped, unshaped ADSL prices

I would definitely sign up for the 10 meg uncapped unshaped package - alas i do not get 10 meg in all 3 of my houses.

Terms of Service? What is to stop Residential users from signing up for these?

1) Is this business packages for 24/7 unshaped uncapped :) ?
2) Can home users sign up for this?
3) Throttling on P2P traffic?

*Please Note: Business ADSL accounts are Guaranteed to be completely unshaped and unthrottled during business hours.
We do however reserve the right to, if absolutely needed, de-prioritize Business ADSL bandwidth outside of business hours.

From their website.

p.s. Anyone know what is their "business hours"?

Oh wow. This is something in the right direction. Mweb is looking like it's getting left in the dust. So tempted :(

8 - 5 most likely.

It's unshaped during office hours, and after hours if the bandwidth stays below a rolling threshold (7 day window). regardless, it will ALWAYS be unshaped and unthrottled during office hours.

Afriman can one add this onto an existing package? Have a capped product at the moment.

Okay this is a new one, usually its the other way around regarding throttling during hours. Very interesting.

I take it this line is wrong ?

It's not wrong, just maybe confusing. The 1Mbps package is now R297 (from R697), but existing 1Mbps users are going to be upgraded to the 2Mbps package (which is still cheaper at R397 than their previous R697 package or the previous 2Mbps price of R897)

So if I am on the ordinary Afrihost 1Mbps package at R197.00, nothing changes on 1 November?
