Afrihost international goes down often

my afrihost account has being connected for 13 hours and alls still fine. and never had any of these problems

Right now, a minute ago intl dropped. Can't get to any of my boolmarked sites except MyBB which is quite nice so I can vent off my frustration.

Afrihost, honest, what's up with that???

It's not a connect/disconnect problem.

International access will die in the evening for about 10 mins while local is still working. I don't disconnect, my IP address is still assigned but I simply can't browse intl sites for a while. It's some sort of reset at IS (or Afrihost) on intl. I've only noticed it 2 or 3 times but it's always late at night.

anti bandwidth hogging ?
 
Have been with them for 2 months or so and also been a good, hassle free experience.

The worst for me is that sometimes things may get a tad slow but nothing to loose sleep about and it is normally short lived.

I do feel - in the SA context - that these guys are the best all round deal.
 
I'm only on late at night, and I've never noticed any problem. Been using it for about a month now.
 
Had a few resets at the start, but its been ok now for a couple of weeks.
Maybe they sorted it out?
I did notice a problem the a couple of weeks ago however.

someone said that the reconnect there account so i was commenting on that.

I've also being with them for about 2months now and never had any problems
 
Mine has been dog slow since 9:45pm again...this is getting ridiculous!!!! It's been like this every damn evening for the past few weeks!!!!! :mad:

I'm unable to do my work. I'm moving back to Axxess as Afrihost are now costing me money!

Any NO it's NOT my line!! If I connect with my backup Axxess account everything is peachy!

I'm still to experience this. I know DigiChilli had an issue with a certain block of IP addresses. Maybe it's something similar?
 
I have a problem where all works hunky dorey and I start up my download with a download manager, when it completes the Dl no matter what I do I cant connect to anything and have to shut down and restart the whole computer. It did it a lot last week, although this weekend it worked like a bomb.

tried another download manager ? maybe the connection is "hang up"...
 
I haven't had any problems with Afrihost so far, I use the internet all the time - WoW, CoD4, facebook etc. So I'd notice if there was an international DC and I haven't experienced any.

no, mine has only ever gone down about twice... not their fault on both occasions.
 
i've noticed it twice in the last week. this afternoon was the second time. the first i think was the day this thread was started. actually probably the next day.

i've also noticed it because i have been on leave. So between 8am and 8pm I am using the afrihost account before my axxess account kicks in.
