Excellent :)

We'll be offering LTE compatible MiFi's and USB devices very soon, will announce here as soon as we have pricing and stock availability info :)

Cool, I'll wait a while then. Telkom's offer doesn't seem bad, but 36 months is a loooooong time in data terms. Better prices - usually by Afrihost - will be available long before those 36 months are done.

Am experiencing excessive download speed variance ie from 200kbps to 1800kbps with around 2x daily loss of connection , did not have this problem with 8ta , help desk says this due to many more Afrihost users ??
So will this improve or must I go back to 8 ta ??
Live in a good coverage area (Westville) and use K3520 modem with TPlink 3420 router.
Would be happy with a consistent >750kbps service.

Sorry about the issues :(
When the speeds drop, do you notice a drop in signal? The device may be switching from 3G down to 2G in some cases.

Welcome to MyBB btw!

I am finding lately that after a while ... perhaps 30 - 60 minutes I have to reboot my R205 MiFi cause the connection stalls and pages wont load. Becoming a little annoying. Anyone else having this issue? I am in the Sandton/Wendywood area

We're not getting general reports like this. Do you get different results on a different device?

Love this Afrihost Mobile product.

Had two instances with thunder and lightning at house. Disconnected the ADSL router from the phone line (lost two ADSL routers recently), switched over to AH mobile (sans torrents etc).

Works quite well, what with Nexus and iPad connecting and slurping data. No more nagging from the wife :D

I will test laterz with a 3G dongle I have lying around. Seems better now though. Maybe the network just a bit busy or something in this area.

Very possible. Let me know what your tests show :)

Just want to check if anyone knows (couldn't find the answer in any threads here):

1. When do debit orders normally go off? (I've only had the "order" debits so far)
2. When do caps get replenished? (I'm guessing early hours of the 1st?). I'm using up the last of this month's data and I don't want to get too far ahead of the curve.

@Afriman - Will that "bonus" data that we were promised be loaded on the 1st too?

1. Debit orders usually go off on the first or second business day of the month.
2. On the first of the new month.

3. They did say the bonus will be loaded for October so should be on the first.

Can barely get 0.20 Mbps coverage says 0% then 92%, what's up with that? I called MTN they say they may give me a free booster if the technician find the tower's signal to be weak.

Please pm me some contact details if you are willing as I have definitely very poor signal yet 500M from me the informal settlement have full 3G HSPA. I know they installed a booster for free at my brothers workplace close to Jozini dam a few years ago.
