Guys how do I keep my MiFi on all the time / connected to internet. seems either my SGS2 or MiFi goes into sleep mode when there is no activity and I have to either reboot the phone or the MiFi :(

Do what I do :) I leave something running in the background like a chat site which uses low bandwidth probably 1 meg or so :)

hmm will try that - thanks. my other mtn wireless connection just stays on - period! don't know why this mifi connection goes to sleep or mtn kicks it off the network for no activity?

I've just replied to your PM with a few tips too :)

When I use port checker it says my ports are closed. Could the problem be my side?

I've allowed the ports on windows firewall still no luck, does the modem it self have settings I must change? using a e2010 huawei.

I'm guessing a lot of people will quickly migrate to the 2+3GB package if the 3+7GB does fall away.... Will do so myself!

Very happy with the service - keep up the good work!

Well I guess theoretically we're on the 3GB package - but getting bonus 7 at the moment. When the special expires
a) we stay on the 3GB package and receive 3GB
b) Afrihost is nice and moves us to a lower package (2) which still have the special until next year.

Google for HSPA Locker and use the application to force your dongle on HSPA+ with constant data being sent through.

Works a charm to ensure your latency remains stable - I am playing BF4 with pings of 29 on a good night :)

I am quite keen to see what Afrihost will be offering from December, just hoping they still do offer larger packages at a good price as the game updates for Steam / Origin is a killer :wtf:
