Still no "pure internet joy". LTE has not worked since I have had this sim and this is a week already. I get that there may have been problems but I am sure that they are resolved (looking at this forum) but still nothing for me. Help!

Let's hope the coverage guys can figure this out. Definitely does not seem to be a general issue. Seems like your SIM was fine, but we should maybe do some tests on that as well - sim in another device or another SIM in your device.

I already popped a Vodacom SIM in the iPad 4 and it picked up 4G immediately. So device is not the problem. I will try it in my S3 LTE tomorrow and let u know.

Still waiting on feedback from coverage report.

Please PM me and give me the coverage reference so I can escalate it for you :(

The SIM card you sent me doesn't say LTE on it. Could that be the problem? Why did you send a non-LTE sim in the first place?

They all are the same if I'm not mistaken, Afrihost just need to provision it for LTE on their systems :)

Sim needs to be 128k sim. If they sent a 64k Sim, it won't work. The other MTN Sims I have seen that are LTE enabled state on the sim LTE.

Yes, as far as I know the SIM must be 128k to get LTE.. However, some of the sims don't have the LTE logo on it. What you could do is pop into an MTN store and ask them to check if the sim is 128k

If it is isn't, let's sort you out with a replacement ASAP :(

Our initial pre-order SIMS were not LTE, but as far as I know everything thereafter should be. Check my last post and let's see if we can find out if there's been a mixup :(

Canceled my 3G account with Afriihost, applied for ADSL, installing on Wed.... Sick of 3G connection that never works

Sorry to hear that 3G didn't work for you. I think it's still worth having for mobile connectivity. Going down to the cape soonish, so I'm going to be using my MiFi extensivly. Hope the mountain doesn't block the signal ;)

Mtn have confirmed its not a 128k SIM. Solved your problem for you.

Please arrange the correct SIM.

Whats up with Afrihost/Mtn over the past weekend getting edge only connection, but its so slow trying to open google the webpage times out after a minute or so, unable to use my data at the moment:( That being said over the past 2 months I've never had problems like this, always had 3-4mb/s on a speedtest, anyone else having this problem?

Sounds like you had proper 3G before and now maybe 2G service is giving a "stronger" signal. Maybe experiment with 3G only service, to see if there is still 3G signal available in your area

Cancelled my account also, can't even load a local webpage succesfull. My speeds use to be 10 to 12 Mbps. Now it's useless.
