Just got this response from Afrihost Support today:
"There is data on the sim card that you received with the phone. All you need to do is to activate this sim card by inserting it in a cellphone so that a cellphone number can be allocated to it. Thereafter, you will receive an SMS confirming that your sim card is active and you can then use your data."
It's the same message I get every time I try and follow up. How many more times do they want to to insert the card to obtain a number?? I got the number 3 months ago on the day I received my new phone, I mean, who would not?? I've made calls with this SIM, send SMS's on this SIM, confirmed with MTN the SIM is RICA'd, I have given consent for Afrihost as per the Afrihost Start Kit instructions, from the number assigned to this SIM using *141*774*1#, I have changed the APN to afrihost...
Clientzone shows me "Still Awainting Acitivation" so where is this data they speak of?
Did I miss anything?
