Would you be able to maybe try using the utility bill so we can quickly make sure we verify or RICA your details?Got my new SIM yesterday. Super fast delivery. It got activated immediately when inserted in my spare phone. But a couple of hours later BOOOOM, you have been suspended from the network. I also do not have a recent proof of address (landlord has been lazy with the rental agreement), but seeing that I had lots of SIMs with Afritoast I thought that was sorted. Obviously not. Ah well. Guess of toPakiPEP store I will go for a backup.
There shouldn't be any issues but if you have identified any please send me a PM so we can quickly resolve this for you.So is the sms for confirming to port still a issue?
Good question there, at the moment the roaming feature hasn't been activated but as soon as we have that one up and working we will give you an update and a list of countries where you will be able to make your calls from.@Afrigirl @AfriGuy
Hello, I am currently on your old Pre paid mobile package.
I just want to know how your roaming will work. I could always just use MTN APN when I left South Africa. I did have some countries that you could not roam in since it's Pre paid. Like Singapore and Indonesia.
Will roaming work with the new network?
Kind regards
With that one, we only need the following listed options. Will a rental agreement work? My neighbour showed me correspondence where they refused an affidavit from our ward counsellor attesting to his address.
Unfortunatelt these are not the rules we set, these are RICE policies. Any sim card issues need to be accompanied by those details. But you reach out and we will gladly be able to assist you.Not going to bother. They have my ID. Proof of address. I have fixed fibre with them and RICA'd previous SIMS and still they want me to take a selfie next to my ID .... ai ai
Did you manage to get your iPhone connected?Switched two phones to the AirMobile SIMs tonight after following all the porting instructions.
The one phone ported over to the new SIM just fine and happily connected.
The other, an iPhone, I'm still waiting on the confirmation OTP SMS. Anyone else had delays getting connected?
Please send me a PM with you contact number so i can be able to investigate and advise here.I got the notification that the number was ported and i could switch to the new sim, but with the new sim all i get is a notification saying "Activation not allowed now. Please contact customer care or retry later."
That can also be a fact that can affect your network and also if the tower might be faulty. But you can forward us your contact number linked to your AirMobile via PM so I can investigate for you.I presume the towers in my area must be congested. During the day I struggle to get above 20Mbps on AirMobile.
Very early this morning around 4am I managed to get 30Mbps.
Utility bill is not on my nameWould you be able to maybe try using the utility bill so we can quickly make sure we verify or RICA your details?

With that one, we only need the following listed options.
>>Bank Statement or Municipal Bill (not older than 3 months)
>>Cellphone or Retail Account (not older than 3 months)
>>Any document that is issued every month, that is not older than 90 days, containing one’s residential address and name.
It is in my Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE.On which device are you using the eSim on?
And don't forget the selfie you have to take. I have since grown a beard and look very different to my ID photoNo one else has ever declined an affidavit from a public official. Fortunately for him he had an alternative. I don’t. The only way I can get one is to go into the bank, with the same affidavit, and change my address.
The juice isn’t worth the squeeze.
Glad to hear that the network was restored.Had some issues last night after porting was completed, network was disappearing constantly but this morning everything seems good.
Around 3am the sim enabled and i got a bunch of sms's.Please send me a PM with you contact number so i can be able to investigate and advise here.
I’m also not going to save anything by switching from Mtn. I’d have done it for an eSIM that works on my Apple Watch but so far that doesn’t look likely. And don't forget the selfie you have to take. I have since grown a beard and look very different to my ID photo
Just open a free retail account (or visit a retailer you already have an account with) and update your address. I think only Truworths asked for proof of address. They'll send your first account statement before the month is out, and you can use that almost anywhere. No one else has ever declined an affidavit from a public official.
