Hello AfriPeople,
I've just opened a ticket, please will you take a look asap.
Ticket: SCD-640-26773

The data vanishing problem from two months ago is happening again.

In November, my phone has used 69 MB of data, clientzone says I've used 667 MB.
My wife has used 20 MB of data, clientzone says she's used 200 MB.
Your own DOWNLOAD CSV option agrees with my phone, but not the clientzone.

Why is the data disappearing again, at about 10 x the rate the phone says?
Please fix this nonsense.

Heya madduk. i can see that your ticket was replied to yesterday. :) Sorry to hear about your trouble here, though. Our developers are working hard to ensure consistent reporting on the ClientZone/Rain API. Please feel free to PM me your details and I'll ask our devs for a breakdown.

The reply was to say they're looking into it, and the helpful tech turned the page of his excuse book and said "Radius server authentication issue" which sounds pretty impressive. Not circumference, not diameter, but Radius. Anyhow, radius or not, it's broken... it's not so much the reporting, it's being capped that worries me. I'll PM you now.

Just to update you, our Dev Team is working on correcting this. They'll have this sorted out shortly.

Being with Afrihost DSL for over a year and with Afrihost Mobile on my tablet for a couple of months, I finally, after many years with Vodacom, yesterday ported my phone to Afrihost. What a pleasure, so far!

The MTN pay-as-you-go SIM cards that I keep on getting get their numbers recycled if I forget to make a paid call from them. If I get an Afrihost SIM will they also recycle the numbers if I don't make a call from them?

Nope! If you have a sim card issued by Afrihost we'll make sure the sim card remains active.

Heya NotSoSavvy. :) Digital Planet has stock of these routers, but as you mentioned, they are working through a back order because of this. This has resulted in an estimated two week delay.

@Afripeople, why is nobody responding to [email protected]?

I want to get a SIM card for my Afrihost plus+ data but keep on getting an error.
 
I did not even get a reference number, I sent two email (2nd and 3rd of Jan) and have not had any response. PM me an email address and I will forward you the mails.
