I wanted to post a quick acknowledgement of good service received from one of your agents "Ryan S". We always read complaints, so I thought it is only fair to post when I receive good service too.

Had an issue now wherein MTN reset something on their side when I enabled Dual Call, resulting in me being unable to use Afrihost mobile data.

I started a live chat and explained my suspicion that the sim had been "un-provisioned" and your agent was on the ball, knew what to do and had me sorted in 8mins.

Hey Afri-people, I have a sim that is the on the 250MB #DataForAll package. If I upgrade to the 500MB monthly option, do I end up with 500MB only each month or do I get 750MB (250MB+500MB) in total?

If you upgrade to the 500MB package you will get 500MB per month.
 
Anybody else having data issues on Afrihost Mobile today? I can receive and make voice calls, but don't have any data connectivity? I have not made any changes, and have the correct APN set.
 
Data connectivity back again....some intermittent problem it seems.

It has happened a few times, unfortunately don't know exact time, as I only realise it after a while. I think about 30-60 minutes at a time? Multiple times over the weekend.

It seems to be OK today. Will post here if it happens again.

AFRIHOST FIXED WIRELESS [LTE-A via CELLC] CONNECTIVITY - ABSOLUTELY NOT DEPENDABLE for 2 months:
STELLENBOSCH - is it the router, our location or just a lot of Malarkey from AH and CellC feedback??

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON??? Subscription for 200GB/mo using new HW 315B 22-s router. Nothing but major connectivity issues and outages of hours and sometimes days at a time in Stellenbosch.
No similar outages for CellC LTE data via a note 8 - just the AH signal with LTE Advanced thru CellC?
Lags of 3 to 4 seconds connecting to some web sites - need to hit enter key twice for it to connect to webpage.
No similar issues last five years with local ISP and chimney antenna. So only since new AH/viaCellC started end Jan - has it been so totally undependable. Again off Saturday from ~ 1400h to 2000h - without any of the load shedding re-connect issues.

Apparently AH sees the signal going on and off quickly regularly on the hour.
Could our security system hourly radio transmission to a base be screwing things up??
JUST SO FRUSTRATING. Finger pointing from both CellC and AH - its thier issue - not ours..

Thanks - not sure how many people actually care - as apparently this AFRIHOST / CELLC partnership - is quite tenuous - and many worries exist - and likely best to switch to ADSL or Fibre than rely on tower signals from anyone... Thanks anyway - Appreciated. Keith
