Afrihost Mobile Feedback

Hi Afrihost

I need your help I need to add my current MTN number to my profile as I am cancelling my contract with MTN and planning to use Afrihost mobile going forward for calls and data.

When I try to add my number it says I have reached the limit to my profile for sims. Any chance I can get one addition?

Currently my wife and kid's numbers are all under my profile and we have them for our iPads and phones.

If not possible, can I migrate my wife's iPad SIM etc to her existing profile with Afrihost?

Another question: I have a big fear of my sim being swapped and the scammers getting access to my and the company's bank account. What can I do to prevent sim swops with my showing ID or something?

Thanks The Lord of War.
Hello.

You can transfer your r wife's mobile package to her existing Afrihost profile. The transfer needs to be done before the 22nd of the month and she will be able to accept from her profile.

Thanks, how does one do the transfer?

I'm going to buy an MTN sim at the supermarket to port my personal number to Afrihost; I hope I don't regret this but Telkom's pricing is outrageous. I didn't even realise I was paying something like R1.50 a minute. Does existing prepaid airtime come over with the port from Telkom or not?

I need affordable data as I see fibre is really unreliable, just this month my fibre went offline 4 times (once for 4 days, and at least one day every month for the past year) and it's only half way through.

Just as an update, Im looking to port over to Melon as I make a **** load of calls for work and there package offering is great but Ill hold out, seems like we have some new packages coming out soon. Would be nice to know if these could compare with Melon unlimited plans or not....

It’s been coming soon for ages now. Don’t hold your breath.

If the MTN Prepaid sim has not been signed up before with Afrihost, you have the option to sign up with an existing sim for the uncapped mobile package. @grantduke

Hi. Do you use prepaid data with Afrihost APN?
You can request a package change to uncapped mobile data, however for uncapped LTE, you need to get the sim card from us.
Yes, Prepaid Data with Afrihost APN set on Prepaid MTN Sim
