Afrihost MTN Fixed LTE-A Thread

I see Axxess has put up a notice:
"We are currently experiencing delays in provisioning of new MTN Fixed LTE sim cards. MTN have not provided an ETR at this time, we will provide further updates as they become available. "

I see the writing on the wall.

MTN not wanting to onboard as per agreement no doubt , leaving customers in the dark as usual...

At least Axxess has the decency to announce it.
 
Got my sim from afrihost few hours ago, ive got the same problem stuck on 3G with the router saying disconnected. Support says provision can take up to 24hours. Guess ill play the waiting game

Hi, MTN has resolved the problem. Please reboot your PureLTE router and try connect again. Kindly update [email protected] if problem persists. Regards.

Strangely my control panel still reflects otherwise, unprovisioned unallocated package and SIM still in courier depot.

I'll check and revert when I'm home in a few hours ..
 
Good luck, it definitely sounds like I should have gone with Afrihost.

Can you drop me your details and I'll ask one of our guys to check why your provisioning is not happening as fast as we'd like? :(
 
Mine has been just provisioned and its working with Afrihost. Received it this morning so i have to give Afrihost a
shout-out for the speedy turn a turnaround. Getting speeds 34 down 20 up.745203

Mine did the same - CP does not seem to be updated or linked to activation.

And CP order process status stops dead at Courier Depot...or has been with me since sim was delivered 30 hours ago.
How could my sim be provisioned/active if the sim hasn't ( according their own systems) been delivered?!!!
 
It's farked up the way Axxess has billed me prorata until the end of the month, but 3 working days later (10% of the month), the SIM hasn't even been dispatched yet, let alone delivered
 
I was getting ready to phone axxess to tell them to shove it, but then low and behold...! Looks like the frustration may have been worth it. :)

Nice speeds too, although not sure if I would have waited 8 days from delivery to be activated.

Certainly not in fact ... I'm on day 2 and thinking of throwing in the towel with this.

Yep, it’s pathetic to say the least and I have yet to receive a mail, or anything from support.

Did you not try Twitter, support requests, WhatsApp?

Not that any of that has helped in my case...just the usual canned replies, blaming MTN and enough "I'm sorries" to fill an Olympic swimming pool.

Day 3 nearly here soon for me...
