Afrihost New Network Feedback - Part 2

Status
Not open for further replies.
We are receiving reports that DSL clients in the South Region (Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London and others parts of the Eastern and Western Cape) are experiencing slow speeds and increased latency.

We are investigating the cause of the poor performance and we will provide the best internet experience possible under the circumstances.

We sincerely apologise to affected clients for any inconvenience this may cause.
Why not give the JHB peeps these problems :D leave us Cape Town people alone ;)

Any results you can share?
Things are definitely improving though, which is always a good sign.

Throughput's definitely better, your latency is a bit high in the traceroute though.
How's your ping to bras.afrihost.com?

That response looks good.
Others have seen their experience improve, let's give a bit more time.

Http downloading is still iffy for me, took me more than 10 minutes to download a 4MB file.
I've tried downloading a torrent and the speed is not at the best, hopefully this changes soon.

I'll be on Twitch to see if streaming is possible
