I hear you and agree that different people have different experiences.just because you having an issue, doesnt mean everybody else is. Im okay, and im also in Cape Town using a capped account. All this "Afrihost is not the company it once was" is a bit overly dramatic. As i said in a previous post, go onto the Web Africa, Vox, MWEB etc threads, and come back and tell me if everything is rosy over there. Every single ISP has been having issues, not just Afrihost.
The gents from Afrihost on here has been nothing short of superb, actively trying to assist as best as they can in a decent and professional manner.
You can now have a go back at me![]()
The sad thing is that I was a big fan of them years ago and put loads of clients onto them only for it to backfire when the network problems started.
I would like to think I am a reasonable person and would not spitefully write of a provider just because they wronged me once.
Afrihost lost my respect and trust due to the 100's of people reporting the same issues as I and my clients were experiencing - quite happily taking our money (for which to date no compensation has been made) for months whilst they knew they were unable to deliver the services they were charging for.
As this is the wrong thread I won't even go in to their hosting issues ;-)
To summarise - in my insignificant opinion I suggest for people who are reaching the same level of frustration as I experienced with AH in the past to vote with their wallets.
???....ASSIA is there to stay, unless Telkom removes it manually .
